It was Wednesday, September 18th, 1899... again.
For the second time that day, Riley stood before the grand entrance of the cathedral, an overwhelming sense of déjà vu washing over him. The towering stone structure loomed above, its intricate carvings and stained glass windows shimmering in the muted light.
He shook off the feeling, attributing it to an odd quirk of his mind, but unease settled in the pit of his stomach.
'Maybe she's hiding here... after all, this place looks untouched, and there are likely several other people inside.' With this thought, Riley approached the cathedral's massive doors, their timeworn surfaces bearing the weight of centuries.
He pushed them open, the creaking hinges protesting against his intrusion. The interior revealed itself in a muted, eerie glow.
