With tears in her eyes she pulls me into a tight hug.
"Whoa there, Aunt June, I'm a little unsteady on my feet, how long was I out for," I ask her as hold her back, amazed at her being alive. She smiles sadly and shakes her head, pulling out a notepad and pen, writing: I am so grateful for what you were able to do, but I can no longer speak.
After reading, I look up at my aunt in confusion, and she raises her chin to show a long red line across her throat.
