LET THE CHAPTER BEGIN

The rain continued to fall as Hiruzen looked out of the window. The tension of war weighed heavily on him as he reflected upon the decision that sparked all chaos.
'If only I didn't allow Danzo to influence me into making that rash decision… This war might never have happened'
Danzo had told him, "We cannot allow Byakugan to fall into the hands of the cloud."
These few words were the beginning of what later convinced Hiruzen to send the Shisui and Kakashi duo to kidnap Aki.
'But I shouldn't be depressed over these thoughts… today is an important day'
"Hokage-sama" Jiraiya's voice suddenly came from outside.
"Come in" Hiruzen took on a serious look and put his smoking pipe aside, starting today two of the three legendary Sanin would be joining the battlefield.
Tsunade and Jiraiya entered the Hokage office at his words and reported their arrival.
"Hokage-sama, I've sent you a report on Tsunade's situation," Jiraiya said without preamble. His usual playful demeanor was nowhere to be found. "She won't be able to join the battle unless we address her… problem."
Jiraiya's eyes flickered toward Tsunade, who remained silent, her arms crossed tightly. He would normally crack a joke, and try to ease the tension, but not now.
"I remember," Hiruzen replied, his tone grave. "And I've come up with a solution."
Tsunade's brow furrowed slightly at that, but she said nothing.
"Shisui! Enter."
In a flicker of movement, Shisui of the Body Flicker appeared, bowing briefly before straightening at Hiruzen's side. Both Jiraiya and Tsunade raised their eyebrows at the unexpected appearance of the young Uchiha prodigy.
"Tsunade," Hiruzen began slowly, carefully, "Shisui's Kotoamatsukami is a unique genjutsu. It can help you overcome your blood phobia… permanently."
A moment of silence passed before the air exploded.
CRACK!
Tsunade's fist slammed into the wall beside her, leaving deep fissures in the wood. Her eyes were blazing with fury as she turned to face Hiruzen, shoulders tense and fists clenched.
"A genjutsu?!" she spat, her voice sharp and incredulous. "Are you telling me I'm useless without this genjutsu of yours?"
Jiraiya stiffened but didn't move. Even Shisui's usually calm composure faltered slightly as Tsunade's chakra spiked with her rising anger.
"I'm still the best healer this village has," Tsunade continued, her voice cracking with emotion. "And now you want me to subject myself to a mind-altering technique like some broken tool?"
Hiruzen met her gaze evenly, his expression unreadable but steady. "This is not about pity, Tsunade. It's about what's best for the village. You know what's at stake. You are irreplaceable."
Tsunade turned her back on him, her hands trembling as they balled into fists. "I don't need your pity," she growled, low and dangerous. "I don't need your fix."
Shisui, still standing at attention, glanced toward Jiraiya for guidance, unsure whether to speak. Jiraiya cleared his throat, stepping forward just slightly, his tone measured.
"Tsunade," he began, cautiously, "no one here thinks you're broken. But we don't have time. We're in the middle of a war, and if there's a way to help you, we need to take it."
She whirled around, her eyes like fire as she glared at him. "And what if I freeze up again out there? What then? Will you have him 'fix' me every time I fall short?"
Her words silenced the room for a few seconds. The rain outside felt like it had slowed.
Hiruzen sighed deeply. "It won't come to that. This is your choice, Tsunade. But understand this—there are lives depending on you."
For a long moment, Tsunade said nothing. Her gaze flicked from Hiruzen to Jiraiya, then to Shisui, who remained silently watching.
Finally, without another word, Tsunade turned on her heel and strode out of the office, her footsteps echoing in the now quiet room. The door closed behind her with a thud.
Jiraiya sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Well… that went about as well as expected."
Hiruzen glanced at the cracked wall. "No… but at least she didn't break anything more important."
Shisui, still silent, nodded to Hiruzen before disappearing in a flicker, leaving the two older men alone in the office.
Jiraiya glanced at Hiruzen with a thoughtful expression. "You think she'll come around?"
Hiruzen watched the rain for a moment longer before replying. "She will. Tsunade may be stubborn, but she knows what's at stake. She'll make the right choice… in time."
Back to the battlefield.
"Storm Release: Laser Circus"
A halo formed around Darui's hands and multiple beams of light left his hands with extreme precision. The beams hit Kakashi, piercing through his body with blood dripping to the ground. Extreme pain shot through his body
"Kakashi!" Might Guy roared like thunder from across the battlefield. His eyes widened in disbelief as he watched the lasers tear through his friend.
Kakashi staggered, his body skewered by light, his figure collapsing to the ground, limp and lifeless.
Time seemed to freeze for Guy. His heart pounded like the beat of a war drum, his mind flooded with disbelief and anger. "KAKASHI!!!"
His entire body surged with raw, fiery emotion. The air around him exploded with chakra as his hands clenched into fists, trembling with fury. Guy's skin glowed with the unmistakable aura of the Six Gates.
The Sixth Gate of Joy opened with a mighty roar. His energy erupted in a powerful burst, cracking the earth beneath his feet. The very air rippled under the weight of his chakra.
"HOW DARE YOU! KAKASHI HATAKE WILL NOT FALL TO THE LIKES OF YOU!" he bellowed, his voice like a crashing wave.
Guy's whole body shot forward like a green blur, faster than the eye could track. His fists ignited with the essence of youthful energy, each strike coming down on Darui with the force of a raging storm.
Darui's sharp eyes widened as he struggled to block the onslaught of blows, his defenses barely holding against Guy's relentless assault. Every strike was faster than the last, every movement filled with the burning spirit of a man who refused to let his friend's death go unpunished.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE DOWN KAKASHI?!" Guy's fists crashed down, each blow shaking the ground, his voice shaking with fury and grief. "YOU THINK YOU CAN DESTROY THE YOUTH OF KONOHA?!"
Darui gritted his teeth, trying to maintain his focus, but the sheer intensity of Guy's attacks was overwhelming. But then, something caught Guy's attention.
A flicker in his peripheral vision. A shadow moving.
He turned his head slightly, mid-strike and froze.
Kakashi—alive—was standing not far away, calmly fending off a group of enemy shinobi. His signature half-smile rested beneath his mask, his one visible eye gleaming with that same lazy amusement that Guy had seen a thousand times before.
"Kakashi?!" Guy's voice cracked, disbelief lacing every word. "But… but I saw you! You were—!"
Kakashi raised a hand, casually deflecting a kunai aimed at him, and then scratched his head with a sheepish chuckle. "Ah, yeah… about that."
A sudden puff of smoke in the distance revealed the truth. A shadow clone. The body that had been struck by Darui's lasers was nothing more than an illusion.
Guy's jaw dropped. His chakra flared even brighter in response to the absurdity of it all. "You… YOU LET ME THINK YOU WERE DEAD?!"
Kakashi's visible eye crinkled with amusement. "I didn't let you do anything. You kinda jumped to conclusions there, Guy."
Guy stood frozen, his fists still raised in a fighting stance, but his mind was whirling. His adrenaline-fueled rage began to fade, replaced by sheer disbelief.
"You… you had me go all out in the Sixth Gate!" Guy said, his voice a mixture of confusion and righteous anger. "I thought I was avenging you!"
Kakashi's smirk widened beneath his mask. "Hey, it was a great show. You know I always appreciate your youthful energy."
Guy's face twitched, his rage mixing with the bubbling embarrassment rising within him.
He had let his emotions get the best of him, falling into the depths of despair without checking the facts. He clenched his teeth, trying to decide if he should be angry or just laugh.
"You…" Guy began, his fist still trembling from the power of the Eight Gates. Then, suddenly, he burst into laughter—a loud, hearty sound that echoed across the battlefield. "You fool! You should've told me sooner! Look at me, all fired up for nothing!"
Kakashi chuckled along with him. "Well, you always say there's no such thing as 'too much youth,' right?"
Guy crossed his arms, his aura still flaring but now tempered with amusement. "That's true! The energy of youth should always burn brightest in battle!"
For a moment, the battlefield felt lighter. Even Darui, still catching his breath from the intense exchange, glanced between them, confused but oddly intrigued by their bond.
But the brief moment of levity didn't last long. Guy's eyes sharpened once more as he focused on Darui. His voice deepened with determination. "Kakashi, I'll deal with him. But after this battle, you owe me a full explanation—and lunch!"
Kakashi's replied with a chuckle, "Sure."
