Thane gently lowered Kaelen to the ground, his broad shoulders sagging under the weight of his unconscious comrade. The dark, glass-like surface beneath them pulsed faintly as if acknowledging Kaelen's presence. Thane's sharp gaze lingered on the translucent dome that still protected the young elf girl, now standing silently behind the older elf. His instincts screamed danger, and the oppressive hum of the spire only added to his unease.
"Kali..."
Thane called out to the crow who was perched on Morgan's shoulder. She let out a sharp caw before taking flight, landing gracefully near Kaelen. Her sharp black eyes glinted as she regarded Thane, as if understanding his silent plea.
"Stay with him."
The raven cawed again, shifting slightly to shield Kaelen with her wings.
