Kaelen's gaze moved between the two figures standing in the dim light of the chamber. His pulse quickened as his eyes fell on the towering figure of the general.
The man was a grim sight, his armor was tarnished and smeared with dark splashes of blood. His face was marred by fresh cuts, blood trailing from his cheek to his jaw, and his eyes held a cold, unyielding focus.
