Kaelen looked back over his shoulder at the two fighters on the ground, he then proceed to taunted them:
"Surely you guys aren't going out this easy?"
Morgan pushed himself up, brushing off the dust, while Zephyr shot Kaelen a glare.
"Shut up!"
Zephyr snapped at him, rolling his shoulders to steady himself.
"Don't underestimate me!"
Despite his bold words, Kaelen felt a quiet relief settle over him. If those two were out of the fight, he'd be in deep trouble facing both the beast and the general alone. But now, with the three of them still standing, they had a fighting chance.
"Listen."
Kaelen shifted his focus to the beast snarling behind them.
"You two take the beast. I'll handle him."
At Kaelen's words, Zephyr's eyes narrowed, his fists was clenching.
"And who the hell are you to be giving me orders?!"
His tone was sharp, but Morgan stepped forward, resting a hand on his friend's shoulder.
