Kaelen cursed at the situation he was in, the words were ripped from his mouth by the roaring wind. Was the creature acting out of desperation, trying to rid itself of him once and for all? Or did it not care about its own survival, willing to throw itself into the abyss, dragging him along with it?
There was no time to think, and no time to ponder the creature's intentions. Kaelen had to act now, or he would be lost to the void below. Without hesitation, he clung tightly to the chains, using them as anchors as he began to climb up the beast's body, fighting against the wind and the force of the dive. His arms and legs were burned with the effort, but he pushed through the pain.
