The beast roar reverberated through the clearing as it lunged at Kaelen once more. Each time the creature charged, Kaelen felt the force of it shake the very ground beneath him. He immediately dodged to his left, his boots skidding across the dirt as he barely avoided another swipe of those gnarled claws.
'Its fast.. too fast for its size.'
Kaelen breath came in ragged gasps with his muscles that were already burning from the relentless pace. His sweat was mixed with the blood trickling down his temple from where the creature had flung him earlier. His sword felt heavier in his grip with each passing second and his body was screaming for respite.
