Kaelen exhaled, he glanced down at the wolf's lifeless body.
"Right then..."
He muttered to himself, pondering what to do next. But before he could act, a small black orb emerged from the wolf's corpse, floating ominously in the air before him.
"Whoa!"
Kaelen jumped back in suprise, his eyes were widening as the orb hovered in front of him. He barely had time to process what he was seeing before two more orbs appeared, rising from the spots where the other wolves had been incinerated by his dark flames. He blurted.
"Now what?"
The black orbs pulsed with an eerie energy, then, without warning, they shot forward—not toward him, but directly at Kali, who was still perched calmly atop his head.
Before Kaelen could react, the orbs entered Kali's small body, vanishing into her without a trace. He stood frozen in shock, staring up in disbelief at the silent dragon.
