Kaelen made his way through the dense forest, determined to reach the golden beacon just as he had planned from the start. This time, however, he wasn't alone. A small dragon perched on his head, her small frame was a comforting presence amidst the towering trees. Although their interactions had been minimal for the last couple of hours, he found solace in the fact that now he has a companion, a female dragon he had named Kali.
As he walked, Kaelen couldn't shake the feeling that he knew so little about her. She was quiet, observing the world with an intensity that both intrigued and puzzled him.
Unbeknownst to Kaelen, as he looked up, the crimson sky began to fade, shifting toward the deep hues of twilight. He furrowed his brow; he had thought there was no concept of night in this realm. The sky had always been a vivid red, marred by the ominous crack that ran through it. He called out to Kali who was perched on his head.
"Hey, Kali, how about we take a rest?"
