Kaelen landed squarely on the beast's head, gripping its sharp spines for balance. The creature let out a deafening shriek, shaking violently as it tried to dislodge him. But Kaelen held firm as his fingers were digging into the spines, his body was pressing close to avoid being thrown off into the void.
"Just shut up, will you?!"
With his free hand, he summoned his dark flames. The black fire roared to life and wrapped around his arm like living being. Without a second thought, he slammed his burning fist into the creature's skull.
The dark flames spread instantly, consuming the beast's head with unnatural fire. The creature screamed in agony, creating a sound that pierced through Kaelen's ears, its body was trashing wildly as the flames seared into its flesh, showing no sign of stopping. Its glowing yellow eyes flickered, filled with rage and pain, and for a moment, it faltered, pulled slightly off course by the force of Kaelen's attack.
