Despite their wariness of Kael, the urgency of the situation leads them to consult ancient texts that speak of the Heart of Emberveil, a powerful artifact capable of great good or unspeakable destruction. As they piece together the clues from Elyndra's vision, they realize that Malachar, a sorcerer with dark ambitions, is also seeking the Heart to resurrect Caelum and rule all five kingdoms.
