Chapter 10 - Desperate

Tsar's eyes narrowed as he unleashed his royal aura, a palpable wave of power that filled the room. The very air seemed to darken, charged with the intensity of his presence.

His aura was not just a display of strength—it was a reminder of his absolute authority, a force that could crush any opposition.

The generals and soldiers felt the surge of confidence returning to their hearts. They looked to their king, their belief in his invincibility renewed.

"So what if a giant is approaching?" one soldier whispered, a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"Our king holds the Sandstorm Sentinel, a world treasure that can reshape the very earth. A mere giant is nothing compared to that."

Another soldier, emboldened by the words, nodded.

"What nonsense giant! It's not worth mentioning at all."

"Indeed," a noble chimed in, puffing out his chest with pride.

"The king's army numbers in the millions and controls vast territories. What are the ancient gods compared to that?"

Laughter rippled through the room, a shared bravado that masked the unease lurking beneath the surface. One soldier even boasted,

"If that giant really shows up, maybe we'll have the chance to kill it ourselves."

"I've fought countless enemies and monsters," another added,

"but I've never faced a giant. I want to see what it's like!"

Despite the bravado, the guard who had delivered the news remained pale and silent, unable to shake the terror that gripped him. His hands trembled, and his eyes were filled with a fear that words could not express.

Tsar noticed the guard's fear and was about to dismiss it when the ground shook violently beneath them. The tremors were no longer just an annoyance—they were a warning.

A feeling of unease began to creep into Tsar's mind, a nagging sense that something was terribly wrong.

Without waiting another moment, Tsar turned and ran toward the balcony. He needed to see this giant for himself. His heart pounded as he burst through the doors, his eyes scanning the horizon.

What he saw made his legs feel weak. His entire body began to tremble, not just with fear, but with something deeper—a primal terror that gripped his soul. His pupils dilated as he looked out over the city.

Following Tsar were the soldiers and nobles. They too stepped onto the balcony, eager to see the giant for themselves.

But the sight that met their eyes was beyond anything they had imagined. A giant—a truly colossal being—loomed on the horizon, its shadow stretching across the land like a dark omen.

The giant was so enormous that one of its toes was as large as the city wall they had so proudly built. Its knees disappeared into the clouds, and its face was hidden somewhere far above, beyond the reach of their gaze.

The soldiers and nobles who had been so confident just moments ago were struck silent, their bravado evaporating like mist in the sun.

They were frozen in place, unable to comprehend the sheer scale of what they were seeing.

"Thi... thi... thi..." someone stammered, unable to complete their sentence.

The giant was beyond anything they had ever seen, beyond anything they could have imagined. It was not just a giant—it was a god. A creature of such immense power that it could crush the entire capital with a single step.

All the power, strength, and armies that Kano had built seemed insignificant in the face of this colossal being. The confidence that had filled the room just moments ago was gone, replaced by a deep, bone-chilling fear.

Tsar and those around him trembled. They had boasted of killing a giant and hanging its bones from the city gate, but what they faced now was not an ordinary giant. It was something far beyond their understanding—a force of nature, a god come to earth.

For the first time in his life, Tsar felt a flicker of doubt. He had always believed in his own invincibility, in the power of his kingdom.

But now, as he stood before this unimaginable terror, he realized that some battles could not be won by strength alone.

This was not a challenge they could overcome. This was a god, and it was coming for them.

----

Outside In the far hills of the kano capital, oliver had arrived

"God, that is the capital of kano kingdom" Khazak who was on the spoon shouted to oliver

Khazak knew the lands outside of Azov kingdom and was looking at the capital with eyes full of hatred. It was not just khazak everyone had hatred in their eyes when looking at the city.

----

Oliver looked at the city, as he was far away the city looked really tiny.

To him, it was small, insignificant. It might have been large to these tiny humans, but to him, it was just a speck.

'Maybe i should try my newfound ability and see' oliver looked at the city and thought.

Then without any other further thoughts, he directly used the power of celestial flame. A burst of flame poured out of his palm and rushed towards the city.

The speed of this flame was very fast reaching the city very quickly. Flames poured from his hand, cascading toward the capital like a torrent of destruction.

The moment the flame touched the ground, it began to go out of control spreading very quickly. The whole began to get burned. The buildings which has stood for centuries began to turn to ashes.

The stone walls that had once protected the city melted like wax. Streets, homes, markets, everything was consumed by the fire.

The people of kano had no chance for survival, the fire spread faster, faster then their hope for survival. Screams of terror filled the air, but they were quickly silenced as the flames devoured everything in their path.

The Celestial Flame did not just burn—it erased. It was as if the city had never existed.

----

Inside the capital, Tsar was suffering. The moment the flames began to engulf the city, he reacted instinctively, transforming into his sand elemental form.

It was a desperate attempt to save himself from the extreme danger he sensed.

From within his elemental form, Tsar could only watch as the enormous fire spread rapidly across the capital, covering every inch of the city, including his grand palace, in a matter of seconds.

He saw his most trusted confidant, Musafa, the princes, and all the nobles he had worked with for years, burn to ashes almost instantly. They didn't even have time to scream or show any sign of pain. It was as if they died without knowing what had killed them.

"AHHHH, It hurts!"

Now, Tsar was trapped in the flames, struggling to endure the intense heat even in his sand elemental form.

Though his form was immune to physical damage, he was still vulnerable to other elements, and this flame was unlike anything he had ever encountered. It was eating away at him, making it harder to maintain his elemental state.

He didn't understand why the giant had attacked. What had he done to provoke such a reaction? His mind raced, trying to find answers as the flames grew hotter and more intense.

He was nearing his limit, unable to hold onto his elemental form much longer. But he knew that if he reverted to his human form, he would suffer the same fate as everyone else in the city.

Pain contorted his face as he struggled to hold on. Then, a thought flashed through his mind, something he had almost forgotten.

The Godfall.

This giant must have come from the Godfall. That had to be it. This is the only reasonable answer. There are no such big colossal giant in other places.

"It must be austin who entered the godfall" Tsar began thinking at his last moments of struggle

"He must have somehow provoked this giant, bringing catastrophe to the kingdom"

Thinking of this only reasonable answer he began to get irritated.

That fool Austin had brought about the downfall of the Kano Kingdom. If Tsar could get his hands on Austin right now, he would make him suffer for eternity.

But it was too late. His elemental form began to collapse, and he returned to his original body.

The moment he did, the flames consumed him. He was instantly reduced to ashes, just like the rest.

'Wait, isnt godfall just a battlefield of world treasure hol--'

This was the last thought before was instantly reduced to ashes, just like the rest.

He couldn't even show any resistance.

-----

High above the capital, Luis and his loyal guards watched in horror as the entire city was consumed by the flames. They were scared out of their wits, unable to believe what they were seeing.

Luis recognized the flames immediately.

"This is the celestial flame" Luis shouted out in disbelief

It was the Celestial Flame, but how could it be so powerful? When his ancestors had used the flame, it was strong, but nothing like this.

The entire capital had been reduced to ashes in less than ten seconds. Now, Luis slowly understood the truth behind the saying

'there are no weak world treasures, only weak treasure holders.'
