The car ride was awkward and silent, each of them lost in their own troubled thoughts. Jun gripped the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles white with tension as he replayed the chaotic scene at the airport over and over again in his mind.
Landon broke the heavy silence first, voicing what they were all thinking:
"Is it because of us that guy is really going to become a masochist?" His voice wavered slightly as he spoke, betraying his unease.
Jun let out a heavy sigh, feeling an immense weight of guilt pressing down on him. "I don't know... but if so, I can only try to compensate him for everything." He glanced briefly at Jed and Yohan in the rearview mirror before focusing back on the road ahead.
He had only meant for Jed and Yohan to avoid detection by hiding behind that banner - never in his wildest dreams did he imagine it would lead to such a misunderstanding between lovers!
