As soon as Kian had dropped Yohan off at his apartment, the chauffeur turned towards an elite housing estate. Kian was on a mission to pick up his younger brother who was staying with his friends in this neighborhood, and refused to stay in the same hotel as him.
Upon arriving at one of the courtyards of a mansion, it didn't take long for a group of men and women to emerge from the front door. Some of the men wrapped their arms around the women intimately, placing their hands suggestively on their ample breasts or firm butts. It became apparent that they were expecting Kian's arrival since everyone seemed prepared to escort his younger brother towards the front door. However, some members of this group were far too vulgar for Kian's liking, leaving him concerned about his brother's social circle.
Kian watched through narrowed eyes as he rolled down his car window and spoke coldly to one of the men - someone who looked quite similar to him and was casually walking behind them all, while playing with his phone.
"Don't you want to go home?"
The younger man's eyes flickered up from his phone screen, locking onto Kian's gaze before lazily strolling over with a playful grin.
"Brother, you're early today. Usually, you're always on time." The sarcasm in his brother's voice was not lost on Kian, a jab at him for being late.
Kian chose to ignore his younger sibling's comment and closed the car window with a loud click. "Get in." he commanded brusquely.
The younger man chuckled and climbed into the car without hesitation, settling comfortably into the seat next to Kian.
"Are you going back already? Hi there, Kian! You're still as ice-cold as ever." One of their acquaintances suddenly approached their car and greeted them warmly. Although they could be considered friends because this person was Kian's brother's childhood friend, there was still an air of unease between them.
"If you come back here again, stay at my place instead of a hotel." the man suggested, but someone else interrupted him and leaned in close to his brother's opened window. "Yeah, there's plenty of entertainment here, alcohol, women... or men..."
Before things could get any more uncomfortable, Kian's brother interrupted them abruptly. "It's time for us to go back" he said curtly. "Remember, if you find that person I'm looking for, let me know."
His friends nodded in agreement as they waved goodbye. Kian felt a sense of curiosity about the person his brother was looking for, but he didn't want to pry. As long as his brother didn't cause any trouble, Kian preferred to remain silent and not interfere with his personal affairs.
As they drove away from the mansion, Kian couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance at his brother's carefree attitude towards life. He closed his eyes, rubbing the aching in his head as he thought about his busy day at work and the frustration of dealing with his irresponsible brother. But then, thoughts of Yohan came flooding back to him, reminding him that being with Yohan was the only time he didn't feel pain.
Kian opened his eyes and stared at his palm, recalling how it felt when he stroked Yohan's soft hair and watched his react like a kitten. Suddenly, Kian's reverie was interrupted by his brother's voice breaking through the silence.
"Who was in this car earlier?"
His younger brother twirled a keychain between his fingers. Kian furrowed his brow before realizing that it must have been Yohan's keychain, a chibi penguin holding a basketball, that had fallen out of his bag during their ride together.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" His younger brother asked without waiting for an answer to the previous question.
"It belongs to a man." Kian answered curtly, snatching the keychain from his brother's hand.
His brother's expression of shock quickly turned into one of teasing amusement as he asked their chauffeur about the man that Kian had sent home earlier.
"What did the man you sent home look like?" His younger brother quipped, eager to get more information on this mysterious stranger.
Kian rolled his eyes and sighed, realizing that there was no getting around his brother's insatiable curiosity.
"He was just an acquaintance." Kian said dismissively, hoping to put an end to the conversation. "It doesn't matter what he looks like."
But Kian's brother was relentless in his curiosity, he pressed their chauffeur to describe the mysterious man who had ridden in their car before. Despite hesitating and stealing glances at Kian's cold expression through the rearview mirror, the chauffeur eventually relented and gave a brief description of Yohan.
"That man is stunning..." he said, "You could say beautiful rather than handsome."
Kian's younger brother's grin froze on his face as he turned to look at him.
"Is that the same man who entered our private room at the restaurant that time?" he asked pointedly.
To Kian's surprise, his younger brother remembered Yohan vividly even though he wasn't even present during their encounter. He nodded curtly in response to his brother's question.
"Yes, it was him."
His younger brother paled slightly before turning angry.
"You can't date him!" he snapped firmly.
Kian was taken aback by his brother's sudden outburst. "What does he have to do with you?" Kian demanded, his irritation growing, feeling the need to put him in his place.
But instead of backing down, Kian's brother showed a mysterious grin.
"It's because he's mine."
