Nathan skidded to a halt as he neared Kian, noticing the icy expression on his face. It was clear that Kian wasn't enjoying the company of those surrounding him.
As Nathan looked closer, he realized there were more people present than just Kane, Axel, and Tao. Two familiar faces stood out among them - Sherly Bai and Joseph Han, both extremely popular figures in entertainment whom even non-fans seemed to recognize. They were clearly angling for connections with the third generation of influential families, especially Kian himself.
"Mr. Xu, so..."

Nathan caught snippets of conversation as they flitted around like moths drawn to a flame. Kane seemed equally uncomfortable with their attention too, but after glancing at Sherly Bai, he leaned over to whisper something in Axel's ear. Tao strained to listen in before letting out a chuckle at whatever Kane had said.
