Chapter 213 - It Will Never Happen Again

Time passed, and before he knew it, it was Friday.

Early morning.

Nanako hopped to the door and knocked loudly, "Baka Nii-san, open up quickly; your cutest little sister is here~"

Yoruha opened the door, bowed, and greeted her, "Please come in. Master is making breakfast."

Nanako, already familiar with her, instantly jumped towards Yoruha, raised her face with a smile, and said, "Good morning, Yoruha Nee-san~"

"Good morning, Yoruha."

Sora greeted her and then fixed her gaze on Yoruha.

Yoruha was still wearing her familiar maid outfit; the red bowtie was tied neatly, no signs of hurried dressing, no creases on her blouse and skirt.

Her lips looked naturally moist and glossy, with no signs of forced polish.

Plus, she had opened the door smoothly just now.

At that moment, Yoruha's gaze landed on Sora, and she tilted her head slightly, showing a hint of curiosity, "Ojou-sama, is something the matter?"

"No, nothing."

Sora looked away, unwilling to reveal her thoughts.

Walking into the living room, Sora dropped her bag and naturally made her way toward Haruto's bedroom.

"Nanako, I'm going to take a nap."

"I know~"

Nanako replied, then ran to the kitchen door, leaned on the doorframe, peeked in, and stared at Haruto with her big ruby eyes, unblinking.

"Onii-chan, what's for breakfast today?"

"Thick grilled eggs."

Thick grilled eggs were a simple, homestyle dish.

The preparation was also very straightforward.

Best of all, it didn't take much time.

Upon hearing that, Nanako's eyes lit up, and she muttered to herself, "The egg yolk tastes so good, but one serving of yolk definitely isn't enough. So, why not go for cake instead?"

Haruto replied blankly, "There's no more cake."

Nanako felt as if she'd been struck by lightning, then angrily shouted, "Baka Nii-san, don't always give away Nanako's cake!"

"Clearly, Nanako is the most important!"

"Nanako is angry!"

With a deadpan expression, Haruto replied, "Sorry, but you're just an adopted little sister, so in family terms, you're at most—"

Before he could finish, Nanako furiously grabbed his arm, rolled up his sleeve, and bit his wrist.

"Ugh—"

Haruto's eye twitched. Geez, she really bit his arm?

"Let go!"

"Woo~"

Nanako looked up at him with wide eyes, her message clear: she wouldn't let go.

It was cake, but now it was all given to another girl. Her big brother had a girlfriend now, so he'd already forgotten about his sweet little sister?

NO!

Absolutely not!

The status of a little sister must remain unshakable for a hundred years, no, forever!

Seeing Nanako looking at him with sad eyes, Haruto sighed helplessly.

At this moment, Yoruha appeared in the doorway, grabbed the sliding door, and said with a serious expression, "Does Master need the door closed? I will guard it at every step to ensure no one can enter and disturb."

Nanako released Haruto's arm and shouted, "Baka Nii-san!"

With that, she turned and ran, feeling a bit guilty.

It was fine to be a little flirtatious and occasionally angry; it would only make her brother accommodate her, but now the situation was not good. Time to run!

Nanako ran fast and didn't forget to drag Yoruha along.

But Haruto wasn't mad.

As for Nanako, well, let it be.

He simply wouldn't mention it.

Haruto raised his wrist and wiped the saliva off the red mark left on his arm with a disgusted expression.

Thank goodness he wasn't just anyone, or by now, the red thread would be covered with bacteria after all this time!

After breakfast was ready, Haruto didn't go to call Mafuyu.

He didn't have to think to know that Mafuyu had already gone out, and even if she hadn't, she'd be too embarrassed to come down to eat.

Because of what happened last night, if Haruto ran to find Mafuyu now, he'd get a frosty stare from the Ice Queen, along with all sorts of disdainful, contemptuous looks!

"Nanako, go call Sora."

Nanako quickly shook her head, holding her spoon and puffing out her cheeks, "I won't go because Sora-Nee doesn't wake up easily when she's asleep."

Yoruha instantly stood up, saying seriously, "Master, leave it to me!"

"No need!" Haruto rejected immediately, "You keep eating; I'll go myself."

Yoruha would strictly follow orders. If Sora couldn't wake up, she'd likely be dragged out of bed without any hesitation.

Just the thought of such a scene made Haruto dizzy.

So, definitely not!

Rejecting Yoruha's offer, Haruto opened the door and went inside.

As he entered, he saw a shirt, a short skirt, and even black stockings stacked on the chair.

Haruto's expression remained calm. He glanced at them briefly, then looked away.

He opened the closed curtains, and the morning sunlight poured into the room.

"Wow~ So bright." Sora immediately closed her eyes, then turned over, covering her head, and said in a sleepy voice, "Don't wake me up; I'm not going today."

Haruto thought to himself, "What were you up to last night?"

"Reading." Sora mumbled, then turned to face up, opened her beautiful, sleepy eyes, and tilted her head to look at Haruto.

After a while, she suddenly extended one leg out from under the blanket. Her toes curled instinctively, suddenly exposed to the cool air outside.

Her toenails were neatly trimmed and unpainted, looking very clear.

"Haruto, help me put on my socks."

"…"

Haruto was silent for a moment, raised his eyes, and asked, "Anything else?"

"Put it on."

Haruto continued, "Anything else?"

"…"

Sora thought for a moment, lifted the corners of her mouth slightly, looked at him without blinking, and said softly, "I still need my hair brushed."

Haruto replied blankly, "Do you want me to scrub your back too?"

"I wouldn't mind." Sora nodded a bit, looking at him with bright eyes, not blinking.

Haruto held his forehead. Just as he was about to refuse, he caught her gaze. After a moment of silence, he moved forward.

Forget it.

This won't happen again.
