Chapter 196 - Confidence

The next day.

Early morning.

Haruto opened the curtains and windows, letting the fresh air in and spreading a strong aroma throughout the room.

After breakfast, he headed to Sobu High School.

On the way, a black luxury car suddenly stopped in front of him, and then, one by one, familiar figures stepped out of the car.

They were the quintuplets from the Nakano family.

Nanako widened her eyes: "They actually look exactly the same."

She suddenly looked at her older brother with a serious expression.

Haruto casually asked, "What's up?"

"Nii-san, you're done for." Nanako covered her forehead and sighed, "They look so similar. If Nii-san makes a mistake, it will definitely be very troublesome!"

"I won't make a mistake."

"Impossible." Nanako said reasonably. "Even Nii-san sometimes is careless!"

There was no way to refute this statement.

As humans, we can't cover everything, and there will always be times when we are careless.

Even so, Haruto couldn't afford to be wrong.

If the Nakano quintuplets swapped clothes, it would indeed be hard to distinguish them based on appearance. Even their tone of voice and expressions would be difficult to tell apart.

But Haruto was different. Based on appearance alone, he was 90% sure he could tell them apart.

There was no chance of making a mistake.

So if he ever did misidentify someone, it would be 100% intentional!

"Good morning, Kuromori-kun, Sora, and Nanako."

"Morning~"

The quintuplets approached and greeted them one by one.

Since Nino and Itsuki had already met Nanako, they were naturally aware of her existence.

Itsuki walked up to Haruto and said nervously, "Kuromori-kun, Father is looking for you."

"I know." Haruto wasn't surprised.

Even though he hadn't met Maruo yet, the man had been switching tutors for the quintuplets regularly.

Because Maruo wanted all five of his clueless daughters to graduate successfully!

Additionally, they had signed an agreement beforehand.

The quintuplets had to pass their exams in the first month, or the contract would be terminated.

In other words, Haruto would be fired.

To be honest, given the quintuplets' learning abilities, this was truly a challenge for anyone.

But Haruto didn't mind.

As a parent, it wasn't wrong for Maruo to be concerned about his children, even if the requirements were strict. It was completely reasonable.

Yotsuba bowed her head and said anxiously, "Kuromori-san, I'm sorry, it's all because of me."

Haruto looked at her. "Yotsuba, lift your head."

Yotsuba raised her head, tears welling up in her eyes.

She could have passed the exam, but because she had stayed up late and woke up too early, she became tired and couldn't concentrate.

As a result, time ran out before she could answer many questions. No matter the process, the result was a failure.

Although Haruto didn't mind, he knew Yotsuba couldn't let it go, and he could see what was coming next.

This girl must be in a very bad mood right now!

Haruto thought for a moment and raised his hand to pat her head.

Nanako's experiments had proven that comforting someone by patting their head was actually very effective.

Of course, that worked when Nanako was younger. Now, if Haruto dared to touch her head, she would probably throw a fit.

Yotsuba instinctively shrunk her neck, then came to her senses. Her face suddenly flushed, and she looked up shyly and nervously: "Kuromori-san?"

At the same time, the atmosphere around them suddenly became silent.

Seeing everyone staring at him, Haruto confidently said, "What are you looking at? It's just a head pat!"

However, after the commotion, Yotsuba's mood improved significantly.

At that moment, a cold and sharp gaze fixed on Haruto.

Haruto turned around and saw a middle-aged man in a suit staring at him with a stern face.

Haruto withdrew his hand and calmly said, "Give me a few minutes."

Under the nervous gazes of several girls, he walked closer.

Maruo looked at the approaching young man expressionlessly and said in a cold tone, "Kuromori-kun, tutoring should not involve what you just did."

"Sorry." Haruto sighed, "Yotsuba was just blaming herself and feeling very uncomfortable, so I couldn't help it."

Maruo stared at him. After a while, he looked away and said calmly, "Kuromori-kun, I've looked into you."

Haruto wasn't surprised.

As a father, it was natural for Maruo not to entrust his daughters to a stranger without ensuring everything was safe, so some investigation was necessary.

It's always important to be cautious.

Maruo continued, "I'm very curious, why did you agree to Itsuki's request when you're so exceptional?"

Through some investigation, Maruo had learned about the young man's identity and background, and because of that, he received warnings from many people.

He knew this young man was incredibly exceptional.

Why would someone so accomplished suddenly approach his daughters, who could be considered troublesome and a headache?

There are two things in the world that cannot be directly stared at. One is the sun, and the other is the human heart.

That's why Maruo had to be concerned.
