Haruto glanced at Itsuki, who was happily eating a meat bun, then stood and followed Miku upstairs.
Once they were upstairs, he asked, "Miku, is something wrong?"
Miku opened the door to her bedroom and softly said, "Come in first, and remember to close the door."
After shutting the door, Miku sat down in the chair in front of her computer desk.
Haruto glanced around Miku's room.
The room was dark, with the curtains tightly closed. The lack of ventilation left the air filled with Miku's distinct scent. It wasn't too strong, but also not too faint.
The room was neat and clean, but due to various items like paper-door-shaped dividers and hanging scrolls placed around, it had a light and airy feel to it.
Noticing Haruto observing her room, Miku glared at him, "Kuromori, stop being careless and come here quickly."
"Open the curtains first."
"No."
Haruto went ahead and opened the curtains, and a bright light suddenly filled the room.
"It's stuffy in here and there's no air circulation. It's easy to get sick."
Miku huffed, "Impossible, hurry up and check the computer."
"What's wrong with the computer?"
"I don't know, it suddenly showed a blue screen."
"A blue screen?"
Haruto walked over, took a closer look, and quickly understood. He said confidently, "It's a virus."
"A virus?"
Miku became nervous. "Did it really get infected with a virus?"
Haruto nodded, "The code on the screen shows it."
Miku stared at the screen with wide eyes, then blankly looked at Haruto, "I feel dizzy."
However, for most people, the blue screen code is completely incomprehensible.
Haruto instructed, "Step aside for now."
Miku moved to the side, "Kuromori, can the computer still be fixed?"
Haruto couldn't give a definite answer.
While he knew more about computers than the average person, he wasn't an expert. All he could say was, "I don't know. Let me take a look first."
If frequently visit unknown websites, it's easy to get infected with a virus. Common issues include the system being unable to boot and showing a blue screen.
Some viruses can corrupt the system, making it impossible to run. In such cases, if you can access the system in safe mode, you can try to restore it. Otherwise, a system reinstallation might be required.
Haruto sat down and pressed the power button to restart the computer. Fortunately, the system successfully booted into safe mode.
The next steps were straightforward—just restore the system.
Haruto said, "That's it. Just wait for the computer to restart. Next time, remember not to click randomly or visit unknown websites."
"I didn't."
Miku responded unhappily, "I just downloaded a game and installed it, and then the computer went wrong."
"A game?"
Seeing Haruto's curious expression, Miku blushed, turned away, and said, "I'm not telling you."
'It's just a game, why is she embarrassed to say it? Unless... it's a game she shouldn't be playing by herself?' He thought.
Haruto coughed, "Miku, I know you're not young anymore, and it's time you play some games. However, it's recommended that you play less. It's generally not good for your health."
Miku pouted, "I don't play all the time. I only play a little each day so it doesn't affect my health!"
"Wait."
Miku suddenly realized, opened her eyes slowly, her cheeks reddening visibly, and angrily said, "Kuromori, you're accusing me of playing that kind of game!"
Haruto quickly denied, "I didn't!"
"Apologize, now!"
"No way! You're grounded!"
The more Miku thought about it, the angrier she became, and she couldn't help but reach out to pinch Haruto.
Haruto reminded himself that holding a grudge wasn't good for his health.
'If you didn't look so embarrassed, who would misunderstand you? Besides, do you think only guys play those kinds of games? Huge mistake! Some girls have even broader interests than guys!'
Haruto quickly changed the topic, "By the way, did you manage to draw Miss Uesugi the other day?"
"Hmm~"
Miku puffed out her cheeks and said, "I'm not telling you."
Haruto, of course, knew that Miku had drawn her. He had pulled a few strings himself but didn't need to mention that.
"I'm going downstairs."
"Go, quickly."
"..."
As Haruto headed downstairs, Itsuki looked at him suspiciously, "Kuromori-kun, were you just in Miku's room?"
Since when did Miku and Haruto have such a close relationship?
Haruto didn't deny it, "Miku's computer got a virus, so I helped fix it."
There was no need to hide it.
Of course, he couldn't mention his suspicion that Miku was playing inappropriate games.
"I see."
Seeing Haruto glance at her, Itsuki blushed slightly, grabbed the meat bun next to her, and looked at him with her beautiful blue eyes.
"Um... Kuromori-kun, do you want one? It's filled with green onions and shrimp."
Haruto thought for a moment, "Sure, I'll have one."
To be honest, he preferred meat buns over sandwiches, burgers, or other foods.
Meat buns were a staple in his home fridge. However, compared to Itsuki's obsession with them, Haruto felt he was far behind.
After finishing the bun, he walked into the kitchen, "Nino, do you need help?"
Nino turned and looked at him in surprise, then declined, "No, just wait and eat."
"Alright."
Since he wasn't treated as a guest, he wanted to help out a bit.
But since Nino didn't need help, Haruto accepted it.
"Wait a moment."
Nino suddenly called him, "Help me wash the bell peppers. Do you know how to wash bell peppers?"
"Of course."
How hard could it be to wash bell peppers?
After washing the peppers, Haruto looked over at Nino.
The girl was wearing an apron and skillfully handling the ingredients. This serious and busy look made Nino even more attractive.
Nino glared at him, "What are you looking at?"
