They bury their curses deep down—even the closest bonds between people many would still choose never to share their curses. Kai doesn't know about Adrien's curse or Mahir's curse. In order to activate a powerful curse, you need a chant. Today marked the day after five years Kai had used his curse on another person.

Adrien had made him truly look forward to receiving his gift the entire month of November. He kept on mentioning how good his gift was that he had personally prepared was. All the excitement turned into utter disappointment. Kai wouldn't be lying if he stated that the prank by Adrien ruined his birthday.
This bracelet was quite trending among the common folk. It had two snake heads on each end. The snakes were in a matte black color. Their eyes were a smokey white color. Now the eyes glowed bright crimson red. Kai assumed that the bracelet he had received was an ancient object belonging to the esteemed Lady of Death.
Adrien's mother is one of The Pope belonging to Death. The second highest position besides The Divine Saints in a church. Of course, she had many objects relating to the underworld.
This bracelet contained the aura of the spirit king. The bracelet was activated due to his Initial curse. Making the accursed spirits fear materialize.

"What are you talking about?" Kai questioned with a wary tone. Still afraid the monster would jump at him.
Kai walked out the bathroom. Immediately, he ran towards the door. He spotted thee poker manager. He heaved a sigh of relief. The man looked at Kai. He snickered to himself.
Here comes the stupid sucker.
"Ah, Mr. Ekphrasis. What brings you here?" The poker manager spoke with slight arrogance. Kai didn't notice as he continued walking towards him in an unsettling cold manner.
"Would you like more chips or would you like to play our game?" The man asked with a grin on his circular face.
"No." Kai replied.
"Alright, Let me set up our gam-"
The man looked at Kai up and down. The slow-witted kid had refused to play with him. Adding to the man's face full of shocked face Kai spoke again, "Inform upper management that the malevolent Spirit they had sealed has now been eradicated."

Kai that dull kid has finished off a spirit by himself. Impossible! Wait, he must be reporting for someone else.
"Who killed that Spirit?" The man asked again as his superiority returned. Many businessmen observed faith in Lady Luck. He had met many rich suckers and tricked them into losing money in the casino. Kai was the biggest sucker out of them all!
Kai responded dumbfounded as he thought it was obvious who killed the Spirit, but he paused and thought,
Hmm, Warren must be suggesting that people view me as a rich dull-witted outgoing kid. If I defeated a malevolent spirit all by myself this would be super suspicious and would ruin my identity. Warren is one of my true friends in this messed-up world. Likewise, Adrien who saved my life today. I am truly lucky as I am surrounded by such genuinely exemplary people. I should be more humane.
After thinking this through Kai spoke acting pitifully, "I do not know. The events are all blurry. I am unable to remember clearly."
"Kid, Don't worry this will all be dealt with," Warren replied smugly.
