Chapter 21 - The real Damian

The dungeon can only be entered once a day. Damian found a relatively quiet place nearby to have lunch, and then started killing zombies to upgrade while looking for survivors needed to open the dungeon tomorrow.

Unfortunately, he didn't meet anyone who survived until three o'clock in the afternoon.

To be honest, in terms of monster spawning, this location is good. Before the end of the world, the flow of people here was dense and the space was wide, even in the office buildings.

There are many zombies, the terrain is simple, and there are dungeons.

It is simply a paradise for monster hunting and upgrading.

But from the perspective of searching for survivors, it is really too bad.

Precisely because of the dense flow of people and the wide space, the moment the apocalypse broke out, the business hub was almost completely destroyed.

Survivors who can survive in such a place for several days, are either very lucky, or are people who are hiding very deep and won't show any sign or sound. Or maybe someone crazy like Damian, who is out looting and hunting.

Neither is easy to catch.

The later went out on the streets to kill zombies during the day. When he heard something moving in the distance, he spotted Damian and realized that the other person was stronger than him, so he immediately ran away without even thinking about it.

The former couldn't even be found by zombies, and it was even harder for Damian to find them.

The fact that he could find two groups of people in the office buildings before was purely due to his luck.

"The last one." Damian split the zombie in half with one knife, and a silvery-white light emerged from the corpse.

Damian raised his eyebrows and stretched out his hand to fish out the ball of light. The light dispersed and turned into a gift card.

[Equipment: Primary storage belt

Grade:Silver

Attributes: Constitution +2

Additional skills-

–Storage space: can accommodate less than ten items, and the total volume does not exceed one cubic meter. ]

Damian put on the silver belt on his waist. With a thought, the winter's wrath in his hand disappeared. With another thought, it reappeared in his hand again.

"Hehehe finally, luck shines again." Damian said with a smile. His fatigue for not finding baits for several hours disappeared almost instantly.

As an apocalyptic game that changes the entire world. The drop equipment types are also very complex, with dozens of items that can be equipped together, such as headgear, earrings, masks, necklaces, tops, pants, shoes, gloves, waist bags, etc.

Among them, two earrings can be worn together, and ten rings can be effective at the same time.

So in the later apocalypse, many people became like characters in the real game. Complicated headwear, exaggerated clothes, and lots of rings on the fingers. (Proper chapri)

However, there are also those who are reserved and look like they are dressed in rags, but they are actually dressed in divine attire of gods.

Damian stood on the edge of the rooftop on the 41st floor, looking around the surrounding floors, scanning each floor with sharp eyes.

Ever since his physique and spirit exceeded fifty points, his eyesight had been significantly improved.

He used to be a little short-sighted before the apocalypse, but now he could see the small words written on the paper clearly even from a distance of dozens of meters.

Damian glanced at the windows of one building after another, and finally found a few people on the twentieth floor of an office building a thousand meters away.

He was very sure that the shadows on that window must be people.

After all, if they were zombies, they would definitely not take off their clothes, hug each other, and have full on sex while looking down at the hordes below in pleasure and pride.

"Should've closed the curtains man. Public indecency is punishable, you know. And since law ain't working, guess I'll have to do it."

Damian took a step forward, and a feeling of weightlessness enveloped his whole body, next he fell from the sky like a meteor. With a loud bang, he hit the ground hard, and the strong wind stirred up pieces of flesh and blood.

But with the blessing of "Featherfall", he walked out of the shallow pit unscathed.

Though he found his baits, he wasn't in a hurry, after all, the dungeon can only be reopened tomorrow. It is useless for him to catch people now. He'll just grab'em tomorrow.

During this period, it is still more important to focus on cleaning up the zombies, and if someone comes nearby, it is more important to deal with those people before they learn about the dungeon.

Damian wasn't afraid that after someone discovered the dungeon, they would form a team to fight against him.

At this stage, he is at level 6, has a sub-legendary weapon, and an overall suit of gold and dark gold equipment.

Now that thermal weapons and vehicles have failed, unless it's the protagonist, Damian can deal with the whole city alone.

After all, everyone else is still either hiding or at level 1,2 or 3 at best.

Let alone confrontation, just comparing the two sides together is already looking down on Damian.

What Damian is really worried about is the mechanism of the dungeon.

You can only enter once a day. If someone discovers the dungeon and takes the quota before he enters, Damian will waste a whole day.

This is the disadvantage of not having a team. If Damian has other companions, he can guard the dungeon in shifts, and there is no need to  stay nearby all the time.

This was also the main reason why he formed his own camp in the previous life.

If you do everything by yourself, you will be exhausted sooner or later. But if you have subordinates, they will share a lot of trivial troubles.

However, with the experience and lessons learned from the previous life, Damian was still prepared to fight alone to the end, even if it was a bit more troublesome.

Vulture Vicky, Scary Sam, and Mad Maddy. — These three people were three of the four most powerful generals in Damian's previous life.

As the villain's subordinates, these three people were not good people even before the end of the world.

Vicky was a petty thug living near a famous bar in the City. A cheap wannabe gangster who'd steal scrapes from the drunkards who'd come to clubs, or harass girls everyday. (Hence his title Vulture Vicky)

Sam was a jobless vagrant who had been mixed up in society in his early years, and finally went to prison once and came out with a nasty scar on his face. (Hence the title Scary Sam)

As for Maddy, he was even worse. He had been in and out of prisons his whole life for dozens of different crimes. No one knows his real name, but over the years he had built a reputation for himself as a crazy dog, mad butcher, or slippery saand or the bully bull. {Hence his title Mad Maddy)

None of them were good human beings before the apocalypse, and as one can guess with zero brain cells, when law collapsed, they only became even more evil.

But who would have thought that these three scum could also be influenced by the hero Arthur and in turn trick Damian, leading to his death.

Maybe it was the halo of the protagonist, or some other fate and destiny bullshit, but a betrayal is betrayal. No excuses, no explanations needed.

(Why am I thinking about all those ntr novels or cheating cases that I hear or see somewhere 💀 author's getting influenced too.)

Thinking of these three people, Damian inevitably felt resentment in his heart. If it weren't for these three bastards, he could at least fight with Arthur for 2 chapters and not die in vain like some useless young master.

The only thing that made Damian's soul feel slightly relieved was that his fourth subordinate did not betray him and fought to snatch his body back, before burning it to avoid being eaten by zombies.

As for whether this loyal subordinate survived after his cremation or was killed by the three beasts, Damian didn't know. He had turned into a ghostly soul and followed the protagonist.

Although he will focus more of his energy on the hero and his group in this life, after getting the resistance potion here, and going to the manor to get the legendary treasure chest of Arthur, when there are no more pressing matters. - He will definitely go somewhere far away and enjoy his life. Something that he could never do in his past life.

As for going on a hunt and killing anyone who wronged him or betrayed him, he's not that free, nor petty. Not to mention, real revenge is indifference. His happiness and success will be a slap on their faces.

So there's no need for his heart to be filled with hatred for some side characters.

(Phew hahahha ahaha lmaoo)

What kind of saint do you think my MC is? Lol

If he doesn't kill these three people, horribly and brutally, and take his revenge on the hero and everyone else, he won't be able to sleep peacefully even if he died for real this time.

He is a cold, cruel, vicious, and narrow-minded bastard who will punish everyone for the slightest of crimes against him.

That's the real Damian, he is someone who must avenge himself. He can be patient, he can take his time and hide his hatred, but he'll never ever forget anything.
