Chapter 4 - Chapter Four: Is he human?

**"Trouble came so soon?"**

Fang Yu frowned slightly and asked, "What's the matter?"

"Hehe, let's talk outside. It's not appropriate to discuss this here," He Donglin said with a slightly threatening smile.

Fang Yu didn't say anything further and nodded.

He then followed He Donglin and a few others to the stairwell.

He Donglin was flanked by four male students, all of whom were his usual followers.

The five surrounded Fang Yu.

He Donglin stood in front of Fang Yu and asked with an arrogant tone, "Fang Yu, do you know Tang Xiaorou?"

"I've seen her once before, but I don't know her," Fang Yu answered truthfully.

"Don't know her? Then why did Tang Xiaorou transfer to our class and ask to sit with you?" He Donglin questioned again.

He Donglin's tone was unfriendly, but Fang Yu didn't care.

"Because she has something she needs from me," Fang Yu answered again.

"Tang Xiaorou needs something from you? Hahaha, you must be joking. Tang Xiaorou, the daughter of a wealthy family, needing anything from a loser like you?" He Donglin mocked with a laugh.

His four followers also laughed along.

Fang Yu just smiled and said nothing.

After a while, He Donglin asked again, "Fang Yu, tell me honestly, does Tang Xiaorou have some kind of leverage on you?"

"No," Fang Yu shook his head.

"Really not?" He Donglin stared at Fang Yu's face, asking.

Fang Yu was too lazy to respond further.

"Hehe, I know you won't answer. But anyway, make sure you find a way to switch seats. I don't want to see Tang Xiaorou sitting next to you when I come to class tomorrow. Understand?" He Donglin said in a commanding tone.

"I'll do my best," Fang Yu yawned. "Can I go now? I'm hungry."

"You can go, but I hope you remember what I said. Otherwise, don't blame me for not considering our two years as classmates," He Donglin sneered.

Due to his family's wealth and his followers, He Donglin had always been extremely arrogant in Class Two. No one in the class dared to provoke him.

As for Fang Yu, who had little presence, He Donglin saw him as a powerless waste.

Seeing Fang Yu leave leisurely, Hu Tao asked, "Donglin, are you just letting him go? I think he must have some dirt on Tang Xiaorou. If you could find out, you might make Tang Xiaorou…"

"Don't rush. The school is too crowded right now, and it's not the right time to take action. Don't worry, if this waste doesn't listen, there will be plenty of opportunities to teach him a lesson," He Donglin said coldly.

Liu Pangzi waited for Fang Yu at the classroom door. When he saw Fang Yu come back unharmed, he sighed with relief.

"Fang Yu, next time He Donglin asks you to go out alone, don't go, no matter what. This guy isn't easy to deal with," Liu Pangzi said.

"Okay," Fang Yu nodded.

"You might not know, but He Donglin's family runs a construction company, and his dad has quite a bit of influence in Jianghai City. He's not someone ordinary people like us can provoke!" Liu Pangzi said anxiously when he saw Fang Yu didn't seem too concerned.

Fang Yu didn't respond.

In the afternoon break, Fang Yu went to the office and made a request to the homeroom teacher, Huang Hai, to change seats.

Huang Hai erupted in anger, scolding, "Fang Yu, do you think the school is your family's? You can just change seats whenever you want? And with your current status, being able to sit with Tang Xiaorou… you're just taking advantage and playing dumb!"

Clearly, in Huang Hai's view, Tang Xiaorou's words held far more weight than Fang Yu's, and Fang Yu's request for a seat change was impossible to fulfill.

Since that was the case, Fang Yu decided not to change seats.

He returned to the classroom and sat back in his original seat.

Throughout the afternoon, He Donglin and Hu Tao frequently turned around, giving Fang Yu threatening looks.

When the school bell rang, signaling the end of the day, Tang Xiaorou packed her bag and smiled at Fang Yu, saying, "Fang Yu, see you tomorrow. I'll make sure to help you review properly."

Fang Yu pretended not to hear, but everyone around did.

Before leaving the classroom, He Donglin walked up to Fang Yu, sneering, "Fang Yu, don't forget what I said this morning, or else…"

Fang Yu couldn't be bothered and turned to leave before He Donglin could finish.

Watching Fang Yu's retreating figure, He Donglin's eyes flashed with a hint of cruelty.

A useless person daring to ignore me?

"Donglin, should we go out and teach him a lesson now?" Hu Tao asked.

He Donglin waved his hand, saying coldly, "No need. Since our classmate Fang Yu doesn't want to move seats, we'll just help him with that."

...

At the foot of a small mountain near Fang Yu's home in the urban village, he had a vegetable garden where he grew various vegetables. Every other day, he came here to water the vegetables and harvest some for cooking.

Today was no different. Fang Yu arrived at the vegetable garden and went to the nearby creek to fill up two water buckets.

Just as he placed the buckets in the stream, he noticed that the usually clear water was now floating with a layer of dark red liquid. At the same time, he smelled a hint of blood in the air.

The floating liquid was blood!

Damn! The stream had been contaminated with blood!

Fang Yu frowned, stood up, and walked upstream.

After walking up a small slope, he saw a woman wearing a somewhat tattered black office uniform about thirty meters ahead, staggering by the stream and holding her left arm, from which blood was flowing, dripping into the stream.

Seeing Fang Yu, the woman's eyes lit up with hope, and she shouted with all her strength, "Help, help!"

"Ji Rubai, Miss Yang wants you dead. No one can save you today!" A deep male voice came from behind the woman.

Two men in black suits and sunglasses, holding silenced pistols, chased after the woman, stopping about twenty meters behind her.

Fang Yu wasn't planning to interfere and was about to turn away.

But the two men also saw Fang Yu.

"Who are you?" one of the men aimed his gun at Fang Yu.

What kind of day was this? Why was he encountering such misfortune?

Fang Yu helplessly said, "I'm just a passerby. Don't worry, I didn't see anything, didn't hear anything."

Hearing Fang Yu's words, the injured woman felt a wave of despair.

And the two men exchanged glances, their eyes flashing with murderous intent.

What they had said couldn't be leaked.

In such a remote area, killing one or two people made no difference.

"Kid, you brought this on yourself with your bad luck." The man holding the gun pulled the trigger.

"Pfft!"

A bullet shot towards Fang Yu's chest.

In the blink of an eye, Fang Yu vanished from his original spot.

The bullet missed its target.

"Sigh, why must you provoke me? I just wanted to get some water to water the vegetable garden," Fang Yu's sigh echoed through the air.

Before the two men could react, Fang Yu appeared less than a meter in front of them.

Fang Yu extended his right hand and slapped the face of the man in front of him.

Crack!

The man's head twisted a full one hundred and eighty degrees, his features distorted, blood pouring from his mouth, and he was dead.

Seeing this, the other man was terrified and screamed as he tried to run.

But Fang Yu didn't give him a chance. He punched the man's left chest.

Crack!

With another chilling sound of bones breaking, the man who tried to escape fell to the ground, his eyes bulging with fear.

Just five seconds ago, they had been alive. Now, they were two dead bodies.

Fang Yu's expression remained calm and unchanged.

He hadn't planned to take action and had guaranteed not to reveal anything, but since these two wanted to eliminate him, he had no choice.

If you don't move against me, I won't move against you.

If you move against me, I'll definitely kill you.

After dealing with the two men, Fang Yu turned to the injured woman.

At this moment, the woman was staring at Fang Yu in astonishment.

The two killers were dealt with just like that?

Who exactly was this man? Is he even from Earth?

The woman, having lost a lot of blood and already weak, was further shocked by what had happened and soon fainted due to insufficient blood flow to her brain.
