The Void of Nihility. The Absolute Endlessness. The Abyssal Expanse. The Timeless Gloom.
It was a realm that carried a myriad of monikers, a realm beyond the very concept of space and time, the existence of which was privy to a minuscule number of civilizations. Those aware of its horrors dared not let others encroach upon the domain that dealt death to any patron, regardless of one's status standing the lesser ones.
It was a territory devoid of anything and everything, yet held the reverence of all in its grasp. A realm of pure nothingness where no forms of energies, no universe governing laws, no paths of the all-encompassing dao, and not even an atom was allowed to exist. A region so barren and terrifying that even the mightiest of existences, worshipped by countless sentients, dared not set foot upon, lest they went insane or end up devoured, slowly and excruciatingly.
Ohm~
In such an area of nothingness and endlessness, a mass of extensive enormity floated about, seemingly unaffected by the terrors that haunted the multiverse. The indescribable mass defied any description of size, stretching for seemingly all of eternity. However, despite its vastness, it wouldn't hold its shape.
One second, it was a perfect sphere, and another, it was a cube. One second, it was a polyhedron, and in another, it appeared to be just an incomprehensible glob. The mass traveled across the deathly endlessness with indescribable speed, covering an intelligible amount of distance with its every movement.
This indecipherable and ever-changing entity was illuminated in the neverending nothingness by thirteen spherical structures revolving around it, and while not nearly as sizeable as the ginormous glob, they were considerably titanic in their own right.
The relationship between the spherical structures and the glob resembled planets revolving around their host star, seemingly following its every movement, keeping up as it sped away toward the unknown oblivion. The thirteen spherical structures radiated no energy, however, they emitted lights of various colors, as if their only purpose was to illuminate this boundless entity.
Ohm~
Suddenly, without any warning, the massive mass of ever-changing dimensions completely halted its movement, going through multiple changes and shapes, causing the thirteen spherical structures to maneuver and evade the blackness, before finally settling on a spherical shape, reflecting the multicolored light originating from the thirteen structures on its rippling goo-like surface.
After a certain amount of time eclipsed without any signs of movement from the entity, one of the thirteen spherical structures, one that emitted a golden hue, vanished in an instant despite its gargantuan dimensions, as if its existence was a mere illusion.
A decadent and mighty throne appeared in the golden structure's previous location. Although the regal throne was smaller than its spherical counterpart, its magnitude could make even the largest of celestial bodies appear as if a speck of dust. It was an awe-inspiring golden throne with impeccable grandeur. Intricate patterns adorned its surface, and various creatures of unknown origin inhabited the arms and back of the throne.
Seated on this throne was an entity that sported a humanoid form. However, no details could be discerned, for the entity's entire being was shrouded in sharp multicolored lights that illuminated its surroundings.
"Hmm?"
The entity shifted a little on the throne, leaning forward as it gazed at the mass that had halted its sporadic movements, seemingly attempting to deduce the reason for the unexpected development. The mass was so humongous that despite being a fair distance away, it still occupied the entity's entire field of view, to the extent that not even the other multicolored spherical bodies could be perceived.
Ohm~
The entity sat in silence and scratched its jaw, releasing low hums at various intervals. The existence keenly observed as the surface of the mass rippled and unleashed a pulse of energy that rushed in all directions at a frightening velocity.
"WHAT!?"
The speed of the pulse was beyond the seated existence's reaction time. The energy sent the throne and the presence occupying it hurling away at extreme speeds towards darkness unknown. After traveling through the void for a significant distance like a ragdoll, the entity released a burst of multicolored light and rushed to the throne before coming to a halt.
"What just happened!?"
The entity's baffled voice echoed in the void, which should have been impossible considering the absence of elements to carry the sound waves. However, somehow the sound reverberated for quite a distance before being absorbed by the glob.
"Hahaha~ Finally! This time it's not me! I am glad we didn't tell little Loquis about this!"
"Shut up Andre."
Two voices resounded in the void as the entity reeled from its shock from the previous events and quickly returned to the vicinity of the mass. The individual looked up and discovered two thrones floating in close proximity to the glob, evidently unaffected by the previous burst of energy.
The entity, or Loqius, approached the two thrones and stopped as he ascended to their level, dispelling the multicolored light surrounding his throne. The figure behind the lights was a being of pure magnificence and majesty. Glowing silver hair cascaded behind him and reached his back, complimenting his exquisite facial features that epitomized masculine beauty, with calm blue eyes, a sharp nose, and skin that glowed slightly, adding a touch of etherealness to his form.
Loquis' body was covered in multicolored apparel and jewelry that gleamed with varying intensity. His neck was enveloped by a necklace whose inlaid gem was bigger than most stars. He was covered in rings, bracelets, bangles, brooches, earrings, etcetera, but it was clear that their use was far from aesthetic pleasure, for everything accompanying Loqius on his throne exuded an unignorable and domineering sense of power.
Loqius glanced at the figure who had rambunctiously laughed at his expense.
"Andre..."
Atop a menacing red throne sat a man whose every movement caused the surrounding void to shift and squirm, seemingly unable to contain his very existence.
While Loqius sported a lean frame devoid of extra mass, this man was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Every inch of his exposed body appeared to be trained to the extreme, with every visible muscle and vein bulging with unfathomable power. There was no lack of exposed skin as this man was dressed in nothing but a cloth around his nether area, concealing the bare minimum.
Andre was the spitting image of a ferocious beast with his razor-sharp teeth, disheveled red long hair, and golden eyes that exuded a desire for violence. One of his legs rested atop another as he looked at Loqius with a slight derisive smile tugging at his lips.
"What is the meaning of this?"
Loqius narrowed his eyes at Andre, practically spitting his words at the man. The gem on Loqius' necklace began to pulsate with climbing intensity, and in response Andre merely raised his arms and waved them around dramatically, causing the darkness around him to shift and disperse.
"Kid, it wasn't me."
As Andre's hoarse voice boomed in the surroundings, Loqius' eyes narrowed further, and the various pieces of jewelry on his being glowed to match the potency of the necklace. As the tensions began to rise and the smile started to disappear from Andre's face, a woman's soothing and charming voice filled with comforting charm reverberated between the two parties.
"Calm down, Loqius. It wasn't him."
The calm and feminine voice cut through the tense atmosphere in an instant, making the two men halt their preparations and back away with their respective thrones. Loqius glanced at the majestic purple throne surrounded by a purple mist, obscuring the figure occupying the seat.
"First let's get back to our original forms. It would be easier to talk like that since it's just us."
The woman's cottony voice echoed in the void as she vanished from her previous position.
"Okay~"
Loqius waited until Andre had disappeared from his line of sight before he raised his hand and commenced a chant in an intelligible language. As the chant seemed to reach its apex, he began to shrink at an exaggerated pace.
The three thrones reappeared in a space much farther away from the rippling entity, for their current size was infinitesimally minuscule compared to before. Loqius stood a little over six feet tall and his throne had shrunk to three meters yet still retained all of its majesty and grace. Loqius' bestial counterpart stood at over ten feet tall and was seated on a five-meter throne, with his hulking muscular body barely fitting the confines of the majestic structure. The third throne however was still shrouded in purple mist, with the details of the figure occupying it a complete enigma to outsiders.
"So? What is with that thing Melaani?"
Loqius brushed his glowing silver hair aside as he raised his chin toward the structure in the distance. The entity was so vast that despite being light-years away from it, the three thrones were akin to microscopic organisms gazing at a star from its surface.
"Sigh~ It's happening again."
"Huh? What does that mean?"
Melaani's sweet voice seemed to carry a hint of exasperation. However, her vague words were not enough for Loqius. As soon as Loqius' clueless voice rang out, Andre leaned back on his throne and looked at Loqius with a mocking glint.
"Heh, it's the same thing that got you here."
Loqius' eyes widened to the extreme, his hands balled into fists with nails clawing at his palm. His chest heaved erratically as the sound of labored breathing resounded in the surrounding void. The other two stayed silent and waited for Loqius to regain his bearings.
Loqius finally took a deep breath as he leaned back into his throne lazily once again, and only after a considerable time of silent contemplation did he finally speak.
"So it's happening again?"
"Yes. However, it seemed that this cycle was rather short…"
Melaani's voice was laced with a sense of frustration and helplessness.
"Why are you two so gloomy? Isn't it great? Now we finally have something to do after such a long time!"
Andre exclaimed along with a boisterous laugh, slamming his mammoth of an arm against the body of his throne, clearly the only one amused by the situation.
"Andre…"
Melaani sighed, the purple mist surrounding her pulsing with regality.
"But it is indeed true, it has begun…" Melaani's eyes couldn't help but gaze at the ginormous entity rippling away.
