Chapter 12 - The Blossoming Love of Vishwanath and Vandana

The marriage of Vishwanat and Vandana was one arranged by tradition, orchestrated by their families to secure the bonds of power and peace between their respective kingdoms. Vandana, the daughter of a respected noble family, was renowned for her wisdom and beauty. Vishwanat, heir to the Brajram throne, was a strong and capable leader. Their union was celebrated with grand ceremonies, but it began without the passion of love. For both of them, love was something that would come in time—if it came at all.

After their wedding, Vandana was brought to the grand palace of Brajram, where she would begin her new life as queen alongside Vishwanat. Though she had been raised in a noble household, the palace of Brajram was far grander than anything she had ever known. Its towering spires rose into the sky, and it's great halls were adorned with tapestries and jewels that glittered in the sunlight. The wealth and power of the Brajram dynasty were apparent in every corner of the palace.

Despite the grandeur of her new surroundings, Vandana felt a sense of loneliness in the early days of her marriage. Vishwanat was a dutiful husband but distant. He was often preoccupied with affairs of state, and their conversations, while polite, lacked warmth. Vandana, though determined to fulfill her role as queen, found herself longing for more. She had always dreamed of love—not just the duty that came with marriage, but a true partnership of the heart.

Vishwanat, for his part, admired Vandana's intelligence and grace, but he was unsure of how to bridge the gap between them. He had been raised to rule with strength and logic, and matters of the heart were unfamiliar territory for him. He respected Vandana deeply, but he did not know how to express his growing affection for her. He believed that love would come with time, as it often did in arranged marriages, but he was unsure of how to foster it.
