Angela let out a soft chuckle, her laughter tinkling like the chime of crystal bells. She was still in Shaun's arms, but the embrace felt different from Zayden's. Shaun was lean, while Zayden was muscular but not bulky. Zayden's body emanated warmth, while Shaun's left her feeling strangely cold. "I don't particularly have a problem with vampires," she replied with a casual shrug. It was true; she didn't fear them. The darkness had always intrigued her, drawing her closer to its mysterious depths.
"I should be glad, then," Shaun said, his voice smooth like silk as they swayed gently to the music. Occasionally, he would twirl her, catching her back into his embrace, as if he had already fallen in love with her. "You're from the South," he noted, it wasn't a question. "You look like them."
