The night was heavy with an eerie stillness as the nun knelt alone in the cold, stony chapel. The moon, pale and watchful, hung in the sky, casting shadows that danced along the walls of the holy place. She clutched her rosary tightly, the cool beads digging into her palms as tears fell silently down her cheeks. Her heart was heavy, her soul trembling with doubt, and her voice, though soft, carried a weight of despair that reverberated in the still air.

"God, I feel so alone," she whispered, her voice cracking. "Why have You forsaken me? I have given everything, sacrificed all for Your service, yet... I feel worthless. I need You. Please, answer me, give me a sign, anything."
