Ninja Ranking
1. Academy student :- Academy student are those children who are trained and prepared for life as shinobi, they are not actual part of ninja forces.
2. Genin (Lower ninja) :- Genin are those academy student who passed academy graduation test, Genin are the lowest rank ninja. Genins are given head bands with their village's symbol on it to represent what village are they come from and that they are full fledged ninja. Genin are also put in platoon of three man cell, and are assigned Jonin teacher to mentor them, Genins are typically send on D-rank missions which are lowest rank missions and almost entirely risk free jobs of manual labour, when they gain experience from completing missions and become experienced Genin, experienced Genins are sent on C-rank missions
3. Chunin (Middle ninja) :- Chunin are ninja who are qualified to wach over and guide other ninjas, Chunins are typically sent on C-rank and B-rank missions
3. Special Jounin :- Special Jounin are ninja who, rather than all-around Jounin training, have Jounin-level ability in a single area or skill, much like warrant officers of real-world militaries. They are elite specialists in their areas and are often assigned as subordinates to regular Jounin when their services are needed.
4. Jounin (Higher ninja) :- Jounin are generally highly-experienced ninja with great individual skill who serve as military captains. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced Jounin may even be sent on S-rank missions (which are considered to be the most difficult). They may also carry out these missions alone. They are sometimes assigned as sensei for three-person teams of Genin. It is as of yet unknown what one has to undergo to become one, although it is mentioned in the Naruto Anime Profiles databook that Jounin are appointed, however there was also a mention of a Jounin exam in the Kurama filler arc. Most Jounin are able to use at least two types of elemental jutsu.
5. S-Rank Ninja :- S-class ninja have gained power far beyond an average Jounin and earned a legendary status. This title is merely a class rather than an actual rank; the ninja's official rank with a village will usually still be Jounin. However, it can sometimes be lower, or they can have no rank at all.
6. Kage :- Those who have achieved the title of Kage are the leaders of the five most powerful Hidden Villages and generally the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. There may be exceptions, however; for example, a ninja may be the most powerful at the time of being installed as Kage, but may become less powerful upon aging, eventually being surpassed by a more youthful ninja.
Missions Ranking
1. D-Rank Missions :- This is the lowest class mission that can be completed and is usually done by Genins. These missions are usually a small priority and involve completing small errands for people around the village.
2. C-Rank Missions :- These are completed mostly by Chunins but are sometimes done by Genins as well. Various assignments include hunting wild animals for food and acting as a bodyguard for important villagers.
3. B-rank Missions :- B-Rank missions are mostly completed by Chunin rank ninjas. They usually involve assignments such as reconnaissance missions and assassinations of low-ranking enemy ninjas.
4. A-Rank Missions :- Jounin rank ninjas complete these missions and usually include important tasks that will greatly benefit the hidden village or country, such as assassinations of wanted criminals and escorting important people across dangerous territory.
5. S-Rank Missions :- S-Rank missions are the highest-paid missions a ninja can complete. They are extremely dangerous and are usually only assigned to a few highly skilled ninjas.
Jutsu Ranks
1. E-rank - Learned by Academy students. Are the basic and most fundamental techniques for all ninja
2. D-rank - Genin level techniques. Can be achieved by all genin, though many ninja only learn their "type" of technique.
3. C-rank - Chunin level techniques. Sometimes learned by genin who have trained extensively
4. B-rank - Jonin level techniques. Require high levels of chakra to use.
5. A-rank - Kage or Jonin-level techniques. Require great control over one's chakra and may be forbidden.
6. S-rank - Secret, extreme level techniques. Are typically unique to a single user.
7. No rank: Jutsu relying on the unique abilities of the users (Kekkei genkai, Hiden jutsu and Blood limits)
