Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Arrival of The Phoenix

Human Realm

Longyuan Dynasty, Imperial Capital

Minister Lin stepped forward, bowing deeply. "Your Majesty, I bear joyous news for the empire," he declared, his voice barely concealing his excitement.

The Emperor raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Speak, Minister Lin. What news stirs such eagerness?"

"The Phoenix, Your Majesty. It has appeared in our dynasty." Minister Lin's words hung in the air like a silent thunderclap.

The Emperor's eyes narrowed as murmurs rippled through the court. "This is indeed auspicious. But how do we identify the Phoenix?" he asked.

The Right State Minister, Minister Chen, frowned. "Yes, Minister Lin, how can we confirm the identity?

"The Emperor interjected with a commanding tone, "All will be revealed in time, Minister Chen. The Phoenix's presence is a sign. We must remain patient.

"As the ministers filed out of the hall, the Emperor turned to Eunuch Lu. "Lu Feng, what are your thoughts? Who among our people could harbor such a divine spirit?

"Lu Feng cleared his throat before speaking confidently, "Your Majesty, I believe the Phoenix could be among our three Lotus Pearls. First, there is Huang Ning, the second daughter of the Minister of War. At sixteen, she is known for her embroidery and is currently at the Intermediate Level of the Golden Core stage."

"The second candidate is Jiang Yanli, granddaughter of Minister Jiang. At fifteen, she is a prodigy in swordsmanship and has reached the Peak of Foundation Establishment."

"Lastly, Zhao Lusi, daughter of Minister Zhao. She is also sixteen and possesses unparalleled archery skills. Her cultivation stands at the Early Stage of the Golden Core.

"The Emperor nodded thoughtfully, absorbing each word. "Each of them holds promise... but only time will tell who the Phoenix truly is."
