Chapter 8 - 007 · To Turn Dreaming Into a Weapon

"They were almost 30 when it happened in the novel, Diana tried to throw herself to Nikolai after Sofiya killed herself, which happened after Nikolai killed Maximilianos when he learned that Sofiya had been cheating with him, and that made Sofiya go mad because she actually loved Maximilianos. Then Diana saw that as an opportunity to be the Archduchess and made a move, Nikolai then killed her, later her killed himself. The first to die was Eleanor."

"Fuck. Well, thankfully you're not interested in Nikolai at all."

"But I seem to be on Maximilianos," I groaned.

"Diana was, not really you, you just played so. We were afraid making changes in whatever had happened here, so they wouldn't suspect us, and we wouldn't get accidentally killed," he told me as he retracted his hands, his magic now dissipated. "Do you feel better?" He asked, sincerely worried.

Thank heavens, "I do, thank you, Ary," I smiled softly, profoundly glad to have someone I can finally trust, someone who I'll be able to confide, even if not entirely given what is happening to me. He reminds me of the siblings I lost, it's bittersweet, I'll just try to live as Diana and try being a good sister for him, we are blood after all, even if not in this life. "Sofiya was the culprit of Eleanor's death in the novel, and I have a feeling that she didn't die of a heart disease at all."

"Definitely no," he scoffed. "The Blackwood family doesn't have any heart disease, I've checked their bloodline records, none. She was definitely murdered. You think Sofiya did it again? I heard she cheated on Maximilianos with Nikolai and Sofiya caught her."

My blood went cold, anger burning inside my veins, a sickening thirst for revenge, "She didn't, Nikolai assaulted her, Sofiya knows it, but she doesn't care, all she cares is framing Eleanor. I know for a fact that Sofiya is still angered by how Eleanor cut contact with her and wasn't easily manipulated by her."

Sigh, "Unfortunately, you do know Sofiya better. She's been treating you like a dog for a while. It makes me want go and murder that bitch, but we don't have power enough to deal with Archduke Nikolai's wrath for it."

"Should we run away from this madness, Ary?"

He seemed to want the same, "I wish, but we can't. Definitely not now, Dia. If you run, they will link Eleanor's death to you, even if you have nothing to do with that."

"What if who killed her, comes for me next?" I cried, because it's a genuine fear.

"You should do what I've been telling to you!"

I frowned, "No memories, Ary, Remember?"

"Fuck, this is frustrating," he cried. "You should train your magic, Dia. You've been avoiding it, scared that people would learn that you're training and start suspecting you, thinking you swapped bodies. You've been profoundly terrified of people being suspicious of us because you didn't want to die again."

That sounds... like true. I was more daring tho. "I... haven't trained at all?"

He released my hands and passed both of his through his hair, "Dia, you can barely control your wind magic, imagine the two that nobody knows you have."

What? Diana has more two types of magic? "I have three types of magic?" I did my best not to sound as shocked as I am, because having one is normal, two is rare, but three types? That's absurdly out of the curve.

Now you're telling me Diana Le Noir was three-type? Not even Sofiya or Maximilianos are three-type mages, only Nikolai was, and the Crown Prince was suspected too, though again, everything about that insistent guy was covered in mystery. And she didn't even train?

An untrained powerful mage is a bomb, I learned that from Maximilianos, who helped me train my light and water magic as Eleanor. The more power they have, the more types, the more dangerous they get, and if they have no training? That is profoundly dangerous, both to everyone that surrounds them, but also to themselves, it drives them mad, the uncontrolled magic damages their very soul, it's like a poison made of yourself.

"Gods, why did you forget the most important things?" He tried. "Dia," he brought his eyes back to me, conflicted, "you have spatial and dream magic, those are extremely powerful and rare types of magic. Spatial magic is said to be one of the rarest, but dream magic? That's almost taken as a damn myth. The longer you stay untrained, the worse it'll be, your body was already showing signs of that, bad signs, I've been treating you, but if you don't train, I won't be able to help. I may be a rank A healer, but only a rank S and above would be able to help you then."

Spatial and dream magic? A royal type of magic and one thought to be extinct and having only been wielded by the founder of the Empire? What does that even mean? Wouldn't that make Diana Le Noir a character with a bigger importance than Sofiya and Eleanor themselves? Dream magic is insane, it's as rare as time and shadow magic, it is raw manipulation, you can destroy someone's mind with it, just as you can create a reality of your own where everything happens because everything is possible in dreams.

To think Diana has been hiding all of this. It makes me feel better to know I've transmigrated to her, however the downsides are still superior. Countless enemies, death flags everywhere, nasty reputation, and now she's also a ticking bomb... I mean, I am, and I have no control.

Moving my hands, I showed him how now I seemed to be able to easily control wind magic, definitely because the principles for it are the same as the ones to control the main elemental magic types, and as Eleanor I was a water mage. His eyes widened. "Somehow, I don't think my wind magic will be a problem anyone. Two out of three to go."

He covered his mouth with his hand, "I knew you had an emotional block. The fact that you lost your filial memories both here and on earth, must have been what unlocked your potential. You also forgot how we died, so that must be playing a part on it. I always imagined your fear of going through death again was the lock. I mean, the og Diana also couldn't do shit, but we've come to terms that she was not only useless but dumb, poor girl, and a mess."

"Undoubtedly," I chuckled anxiously.
