Chapter 456 - Chapter 0456: Tigers Fight

The more Sister Hua urged, the more awkward Luo Yang became.

After being frightened, people often feel an urgent need to use the restroom, and everyone wanted to go to the bathroom.

Unfortunately, there were not enough toilets to accommodate everyone.

Luo Yang said, "How about I tell a riddle or a brain teaser, whoever guesses it first gets to go first?"

Without waiting for the crowd to respond, Luo Yang continued:

"When two tigers fight, why must they fight to the death?"

In the dim light, everyone began to think hard.

With a problem to think about, they became less frightened by the thunder.

Actually, Luo Yang wanted to experience Soul Out of Body, to see exactly how afraid Yin Spirit was of lightning and thunder.

But when he thought about the possibility of being struck by a fierce bolt of lightning, he was afraid he might be annihilated.

Without the Yin Spirit, the remaining physical body would be useless.

After much thought, he decided not to take action due to safety considerations, despite his curiosity.

Half a minute passed and still, no one had guessed the answer.

Suddenly, Tang Guihua said coquettishly, "Niu Zai, tell us the answer. If we think you're just spouting nonsense, I won't let you off easily."

Luo Yang smiled calmly, "Sister Guihua, when two tigers are fighting, who dares to break it up? They have no choice but to fight to the death."

The crowd laughed upon hearing this, but they weren't completely convinced.

Especially An Yuying, who was a bona fide university student, the full-time kind.

In the realm of brain teasers, Yuying did not have any particular advantage.

Her education might have been higher than the others, but it hadn't proven her to be smarter, which made her a bit awkward.

"Niu Zai, try another one. I almost guessed the last one," Yuying said in a sweet voice.

The last person who wanted to hear this was Tang Guihua.

She scoffed, "Yuying, I also guessed it, I just didn't say it out loud."

This was obviously an argumentative retort aimed at Yuying.

The others snickered quietly.

Blushing, Yuying replied, "Sister Hua, I really did guess it. It wasn't far off from what Niu Zai said. I'm not lying."

Even though Yuying wasn't the kind of girl to always want to win, she would still want to save face when there was no easy way out.

But Tang Guihua loved to be contrary, and she responded with a sneer, "Yuying, you guessed it with about eighty to ninety percent accuracy, but I guessed it perfectly. I just chose not to say, not wanting you all to know."

This claim seemed quite far-fetched, clearly a deliberate attempt to needle Yuying.

Luo Yang laughed, "Sister Guihua, Sister An, let's not argue. I'll say another one and see who can guess it first, alright?"

In the darkness, everyone quieted down again.

So Luo Yang had no choice but to rack his brains for another problem, thinking if Tang Guihua guessed it first, Yuying would feel even more embarrassed.

In terms of knowledge, of course, Yuying was ahead of Guihua, having graduated from a university with a bachelor's degree.

However, Guihua had a sharper wit when it came to quick thinking.

It was like comparing spring orchids to autumn chrysanthemums, each excelling in their own way.

Seeing that Luo Yang was not speaking up, Tang Guihua urged, "Niu Zai, come on, tell us! I want to see how I'll beat Yuying."

Hearing this, Luo Yang found it even more inconvenient to speak right away.

Yuying also retorted coquettishly, "Sister Hua, Niu Zai hasn't said it yet. I could guess it too."

Originally, it was a game for everyone, but now it had silently become a competition between Tang Guihua and An Yuying, to see whose mind could spin faster.

Luo Yang found himself in a dilemma and could only stall for time.

Just then, a huge clap of thunder boomed, the sound waves rolling in like a tide, the house shaking with the vibration.

The nerve-racking boom startled everyone unwittingly.

Plus, the lights seemed affected by the voltage fluctuation, flickering on and off, which, in this late-night thunderstorm, added an air of mystery to the atmosphere.

Everyone immediately fell silent, all ears for any surrounding sounds, and Tang Guihua stopped her competitive bickering with Yuying.
