Having said goodbye to Chen Jie, Luo Yang left the complex, locked the door, went downstairs, and got in his car. He was going to pick up Hong Jiaxin first.
These were extraordinary times, and he needed to stay close to Hong Jiaxin.
He was never at ease leaving her somewhere else.
If she were to be taken away by some mysterious person, he would have let down the Hong Zhong Couple.
After all, Luo Yang had personally promised to look after Hong Jiaxin and not let anyone bully her.
On the road, he also made a call to Shi Long.
After the call connected, Luo Yang asked, "What's the situation?"
There was no unusual sound on the other side of the line, only the occasional noise of passing vehicles could be heard.
"Master, I'm fine. When will you get here?" Shi Long asked.
Having taken on a disciple, if he said he was in trouble, as a master, Luo Yang couldn't just stand by and not check on him.
Luo Yang said, "I'm on the way, should be there soon."
Actually, he still had to pick up Hong Jiaxin and then find Shi Long.
After all, he was uneasy leaving Hong Jiaxin alone for too long.
Knowing that Shi Long was safe, he ended the call.
Driving back to Huaxing Biotech Company.
In the office, Shuang Qiao and Hong Jiaxin were there.
Seeing Luo Yang return, Qiao Zai Shui sneered, "Niu Zai, you took half a day to come back. What were you up to?"
Luo Yang smiled, "Little Sister Qiao, it wasn't half a day."
Whilst speaking, he poured himself a cup of tea to drink.
"Niu Zai, you seem quite busy. What have you been up to?" Qiao Yousi asked curiously.
"A bit of everything." Luo Yang smiled.
He noticed an interesting phenomenon, which was that if one is eager to help others, one tends to be very busy.
This person had trouble, and he needed to make a trip.
That person had a problem, and he would go and lend a hand.
As a result, he was kept on his toes all day long.
Luo Yang was a man of principle; when his friends were in trouble, he couldn't just watch from the sidelines.
In other words, the more friends he had, the busier he became.
Looking at the time, Luo Yang urged, "Come on, let's go take care of some business."
Shuang Qiao and Hong Jiaxin thought he was going alone, and Qiao Zai Shui sneered, "You're not just coming back to grab a drink and take off again, are you?"
It made more sense to her to grab a bottle of drink from a roadside stand if he was thirsty from being far away.
Luo Yang laughed, "No, I'm also planning to take you shopping."
Having promised to help Shi Long out of trouble, he still had to go to him.
Luo Yang had been bustling about lately, never having a moment to spare.
Seeing Shuang Qiao and Hong Jiaxin reluctant to get up, Luo Yang said, "Let's go, there's someone in trouble who needs help."
Qiao Yousi asked curiously, "Who?"
She wasn't acquainted with Shi Long, so even if he mentioned it, she wouldn't have a clue.
"A friend," Luo Yang said.
Qiao Zai Shui asked further, and he had no choice but to say it was Shi Nan's brother.
They nodded in understanding then.
"Then you go ahead," Qiao Yousi said.
He came back here to take the three of them with him; leaving Hong Jiaxin here alone wasn't something Luo Yang felt comfortable with.
"I'm not deceiving you, we're pressed for time, let's get going. Don't dilly-dally," Luo Yang urged.
Just then, Luo Yang's phone rang. It was a call from Shi Long.
"Master, have you arrived?" Shi Long asked.
"Almost there. Don't worry. I'll be with you in a few minutes," Luo Yang assured.
After hearing the content of the phone conversation between the two men, the three beauties finally believed there really was such a matter.
The four of them left the office, went downstairs, and came to the car. Luo Yang rushed to sit in the passenger seat.
Qiao Yousi drove the car to find Shi Long.
It wasn't far; after a few turns, they arrived.
They had just seen Shi Long,
when suddenly, the rumbling sound of a swarm of motorcycles approached rapidly from a distance.
In the blink of an eye, about a dozen motorcycles and two cars drove up, surrounding Luo Yang and the others.
Shi Long looked on in horror. The people who had arrived were his enemies.
There were at least thirty or forty people, each looking fierce and aggressive.
