Luo Yang took out a cigarette and offered one to Zhu Chongshan.
Zhu Chongshan waved his hand, his face not as dark as before, clearly willing to talk about his daughter's matters.
Seeing that Luo Yang, despite his young age, possessed such advanced medical skills, Zhu Chongshan couldn't help but see him in a new light.
In the past, Zhu Chongshan only thought Luo Yang was a ruffian, and it wasn't worth his daughter causing trouble with the Lin Family for the sake of such a person.
Now that he knew Luo Yang was the well-known Little Miracle Doctor in Hongyun Town, Zhu Chongshan didn't dislike him as much.
Lighting up a cigarette and taking a few drags, he felt less tense.
While smoking, Luo Yang racked his brains, thinking about how to start the conversation appropriately.
Zhu Chongshan looked over, and Luo Yang felt a bit nervous again.
"How did you two meet?" Zhu Chongshan asked.
With a topic to talk about, the atmosphere became much more harmonious.
Luo Yang then recounted his encounter with Zhu Li, ending with, "She really hasn't had it easy."
Zhu Chongshan didn't agree with this assessment and snorted coldly.
"That's what she brought upon herself. She's been rebellious since she was young. If she had listened to me and joined a governmental institution, her life would have been much more comfortable," said Zhu Chongshan indifferently.
After hearing this, Luo Yang knew that the father-daughter relationship had always been strained.
Zhu Li's decision to help Luo Yang against the Lin Family was just the spark that ignited the longstanding resentment between Zhu Chongshan and his daughter.
"I told her not to get involved; I was worried about dragging her into this. But she insisted on helping me. It's my fault that you and she have fallen out. I'm sorry, Uncle Zhu," Luo Yang said sincerely.
Zhu Chongshan looked at Luo Yang closely.
"How did you get into trouble with the Lin Family?" Zhu Chongshan suddenly changed the subject.
"Lin Yuqing came to me for treatment of a breast fibroadenoma, and Lin Guofa mocked my medical skills. I talked back, and he wanted to mess with me. Also, he was after my beauty recipe," said Luo Yang.
The first reason was true; the second, Luo Yang had fabricated.
By mentioning the second reason, Luo Yang wanted Zhu Chongshan to know that he had prospects.
Sure enough, Zhu Chongshan seemed to understand what Luo Yang meant by "beauty recipe." Perhaps Zhu Li had brought some beauty stream water back for her mother to use.
"The Lin Family is not someone you can deal with," Zhu Chongshan said.
"I know that. But if they want me dead, it won't be so easy," Luo Yang said.
Zhu Chongshan was beginning to admire the composure in the eyes of the young man in front of him, who still bore traces of youth on his face.
Any other youngster, not to mention picking a fight with the Lin Family, would be scared witless even by an ordinary gang leader on the streets.
Without the backing of the Shennong Scripture, Luo Yang wouldn't dare confront the Lin Family either.
"You're very gutsy," Zhu Chongshan commented.
"I'm driven to it," Luo Yang forced a bitter smile.
If the Lin Family hadn't been so aggressively confrontational, Luo Yang wouldn't want to engage in a fight to the end with them either.
"What tea would you like to drink? Pu'er or Biluochun?" Zhu Chongshan picked up the kettle to get some water from the barrel.
Villagers, usually, just drink water casually to quench their thirst.
Luo Yang replied, "Anything's fine."
He really didn't know much about tea tasting.
At this moment, Luo Yang, excited, said, "Uncle Zhu, I'll go to the car to get something first."
He then went downstairs, stepped outside, and immediately sent a message to Zhu Li, which read: Sister Kick, I'm at your house now, please come back quickly.
In the blink of an eye, he received a message from Zhu Li: What are you doing at my house?
Luo Yang replied with another message: You'll know when you get back! Don't call me.
After sending the message, he returned to the second-floor living room.
Luo Yang had wanted to make some traditional tea, but not knowing how, he let Zhu Chongshan brew the tea himself.
While the water was heating up, Zhu Chongshan said, "You're from Hongyun Town, how could you not know how powerful the Lin Family is?"
Luo Yang responded, "I know. It's not that I want to oppose them, it's that they want to kill me. To survive, I will play this out with them to the end."
Some things in life can be negotiated, others can't.
Comparing him to the Lin Family, at least for now, Luo Yang seemed to be at a disadvantage.
Luo Yang indeed wanted to peacefully resolve the grudges with the Lin Family.
But the Lin Family, not considering Luo Yang worthy, would not give him face.
In the eyes of the Lin Family, Luo Yang was less significant than an ant.
In the blink of an eye, the water boiled.
Zhu Chongshan skillfully made the gongfu tea and poured it into a small tea cup.
"Have a taste," Zhu Chongshan gestured invitingly.
The tea in the small cup was a pale green, with wafts of tea fragrance reaching the nose.
After tasting a cup, the saliva was stimulated, and the fragrance lingered.
"It's delicious," Luo Yang said sincerely.
"This tea is decent, almost four thousand yuan per half kilogram," Zhu Chongshan stated.
After several cups of tea, the two seemed to become like old friends.
Zhu Chongshan became much more polite in his speech.
"Have you ever thought, if you keep clashing with the Lin Family, there will be no benefit," Zhu Chongshan said.
From what he said, it seemed he hoped Luo Yang would apologize to the Lin Family.
"Uncle Zhu, you might not realize, I've already reprimanded Tian Gou to his face," Luo Yang said.
Tian Gou was Lin Tianhua's nickname, known to everyone in Hongyun Town.
Hearing this, Zhu Chongshan laughed.
"I have heard about your incident. With your current situation, the odds of you winning against the Lin Family are not great," Zhu Chongshan stated.
At that moment, they heard the sound of a car arriving downstairs.
From the sound of footsteps alone, Luo Yang guessed it was Zhu Li.
Hearing the door open below and from the conversation, he could confirm it was Zhu Li.
Soon, Zhu Li came up to the second floor and, seeing Luo Yang and Zhu Chongshan sitting together and drinking tea calmly, she couldn't help being curious.
Luo Yang smiled and said, "Sister Kick, you're back."
Zhu Li came over, still looking puzzled.
"You?" Zhu Li stared at Luo Yang.
"Quite a coincidence. I came to treat Uncle Zhu," Luo Yang explained.
Then he recounted what had happened.
Zhu Li sat down on the nearby sofa, clearly feeling awkward.
She and her father had had a falling out not long before, and if it hadn't been for hearing that Luo Yang had come to her parents' home, she would not have casually returned.
Luo Yang hoped that Zhu Li and her father would reconcile, and said, "Uncle Zhu, please don't blame my god-sister. You're a family, there's no need to argue over me."
After saying this, Luo Yang broke out in a sweat.
He felt like a child yet was advising his elders, which seemed a bit odd.
Zhu Li lowered her gaze and did not respond.
Finally, Zhu Chongshan spoke, "If you want to help your godbrother, I'm not against it. But let me make it clear, there isn't much I can help with. Don't expect too much from me."
Zhu Li's pretty face softened considerably, and she said, "Dad, I understand."
By then, Luo Yang felt relieved.
Whether Zhu Li would help or not was one thing; Luo Yang simply didn't want his presence to cause a rift between Zhu Li and her father, as that would make him feel very guilty.
Now that his wish was fulfilled, Luo Yang was thrilled.
As for the grudge with the Lin Family, Luo Yang had always been the sort to let things slide off his back, not one to constantly dwell on them.
After chatting for a while longer, Zhu Chongshan received a phone call and went out.
Only Luo Yang and Zhu Li were left in the living room.
"I didn't expect you would come to my house," Zhu Li said with a toothy smile.
It was rare to see Zhu Li smile, and her smile had a touch of worldly wisdom, yet was very efficient.
"I didn't know this was your house at first, otherwise I might not have dared to come," Luo Yang said with a laugh.
At the bar, Zhu Chongshan had a very poor impression of Luo Yang.
Remembering the scene made Luo Yang uncomfortable.
Having arrived and learned that the patient was Zhu Li's father, he had no choice but to brace himself and deal with it.
