Qin Piao was very nervous, standing behind Luo Yang, her heavy breathing reaching his ears.
Seeing Luo Yang and Qin Piao get off the car, Tang Jie arrogantly said, "So I hit you! What are you going to do about it?"
Luo Yang dashed forward, kicking Tang Jie off the car with one foot. Tang Jie cursed as he got up and lunged to fight desperately, but he was no match for Luo Yang.
First came a shoulder throw, followed by several slaps, and finally Luo Yang ended the fight by kicking Tang Jie into a roadside ditch with a gut-wrenching kick.
Tang Jie writhed in the ditch, screaming in pain like a slaughtered pig, unable to get up for a while, still cursing filthily but too powerless to attack again.
If not for the fact they were from the same village, Luo Yang would have hit him harder, and Tang Jie would have been knocked out cold on the ground.
After helping her onto the motorbike, Luo Yang drove Qin Piao home.
Qin Piao snuggled up against Luo Yang's broad back, her hands not quite hugging his muscular waist, and she sincerely praised, "Niu Zai, you're so fierce."
Her voice was soft and lingering, as if penetrating to the marrow, ticklish and numbing.
When they arrived at her house, Luo Yang said, "Sister Piao, if he bullies you again, tell me, and I'll teach him a lesson for you."
After hearing this, Qin Piao felt touched and thought, "I've made the right friend! Following him is definitely the right choice. Having such a man to protect me, I don't have to worry about being bullied by others."
With that in mind, she suppressed her smile and said gratefully, "Niu Zai, then I'll be depending on you from now on."
Luo Yang promised, "If you have troubles, I'll definitely help."
Qin Piao got off the car and asked if he would like to have dinner at her house, but Luo Yang said he'd go home to eat.
At Luo Yang's house, everyone was waiting for him to start dinner, so when he arrived, they served the food.
Luo Yang gave the money from selling the fish to his mother and went to his room to charge his phone. After turning on the lights and plugging in the charger, he went back down to eat.
Dinner conversation led to his family asking where he learned medicine, and Luo Yang explained that his classmate's father was a doctor and he picked up some treatment methods by imitating him, just enough to get by.
Afterward, Luo Yang inquired to his father about renting land, and Luo Zhihai said it would be difficult. The cost was a minor issue, but whether the village chief would agree was the major problem.
It seemed that having money was not enough to rent the land, so Luo Yang thought of Teacher Lin. Her credibility was good in the village, and he wondered if her intervention might help.
Before he even finished dinner, he heard a familiar ringtone coming from the room.
"only you, can take me on a Journey to the West…"
He returned to his room to check the phone and saw that it was An Yuying calling, so he quickly answered.
"Sister An."
"Niu Zai, can you come over to my house right now?"
"Sure."
"Then hurry up. I have something to ask you."
"Alright, I'll be right over!"
After ending the call, Luo Yang went downstairs back to the dining table, quickly finished his rice in a few gulps, took his phone, and left for An Yuying's house.
Upon Luo Yang's arrival, An Qixing and his wife warmly welcomed him, but Luo Yang was not accustomed to such a VIP treatment.
"Uncle An, Teacher Lin, there's no need to be so formal," Luo Yang advised.
"Niu Zai, just make yourself at home and eat whatever you want," Lin Jialan said with a smile.
"Got it."
As he said this, he looked at An Yuying, noting she was dressed in casual home wear with her hair loosely bunned, framing her sculpted neck, making her look quite charming, with a few strands of hair falling loosely, adding a touch of allure.
An Yuying brought a plate from the kitchen to the living room with a smile, saying, "Niu Zai, try the taro cake, it's still hot."
Luo Yang knew An Yuying had made it specially for him, and even though he had just had dinner, he couldn't help but pick up a piece of the fragrant taro cake, eating it while praising, "Delicious!"
"Eat slowly, don't choke," she said.
"I won't choke," Luo Yang replied.
But before he could finish speaking, he actually did choke. At first, keeping quiet, he was fine, but as he tried to swallow and talk at the same time, he fell victim.
"See, you don't listen. Drink some water," An Yuying said with a playful laugh as she handed him her water cup.
While talking, she moved behind Luo Yang, her jade palm gently patting his back to help ease his discomfort.
Luo Yang took a few sips of warm water and patted his chest lightly before managing to swallow the food.
"I didn't expect I would choke," Luo Yang said with an embarrassed laugh.
"I told you not to eat so fast," An Yuying said as she took the water cup from Luo Yang's hand and continued, "Niu Zai, I've already bought the ingredients for the Cinnabar Calming Pill. Could you help me prepare it, please?"
"Sure."
Then An Yuying went upstairs to fetch the ingredients and handed them to Luo Yang to start preparing the Cinnabar Calming Pill. She also learned to make it alongside him.
