Dragons,vampires, and werewolfs all were thought to be just fantasy untill the year of 2050, in this year portals arrived on earth in the middle of manhattan when the creatures appeared, a war erupted turning all of new York to dust, and rubble, humans with their new weaponry tried to fight the beasts to the best of their abilities but it was futile, but one day humans started developing abilities, it's unknown how they got these abilities, the scientists dock it up to evolution, so they may defend their planet, and even with their new power humans was just powerful enough to rival the other races, and with the humans came to a compromise with the others, so there wouldn't be anymore blood shed.

After the war a lot of things changed, one change was the amount of orphanages that were open up, since humans got thier powers a year after the war began, meaning a lot of kids became orphans, a man named of Evan, is the head of one of these orphanages he was 6 foot tall with a dark complexion, and a small Afro the man have a scarred up body which is why he always wear a long sleeves shirt and pants not wanting the kids in his orphanage to see him in that image.
One day while walking around the futuristic city thanks to the, races combining their technology Evan waits at a cross walk with bags of food in his hand for the children, he sees the symbol that means he can go ahead, when he was about to go a floating car flies past almost at the speed of sound lucky, Evan barley stop himself from going, but some of the can food fell out the bag, Evan sighs "when did this world go to shit so fast" he thought, as he turn to go get the can tomatoes he saw a kid with dirty blonde hair and blues eyes pick up the can the both of them made eye contact, Evan noticed how dirty the kid clothes looked then after doing the intense staring contest the child started running when he did Evan ran right after him when the child turn a corner Evan followed not being so far behide, then Evan stop as the kid was gone he looked around to see the poor adults who looked even worse then the kid he thought on how crazy it was that the city was so bright in the night but alleyways was still so dark.
After the war not everyone was able to, "evolve" those who wasn't was mostly cast aside and then when the war was over, they were completely later humans found out they can teach other their abilities but by time the found that out the war was over, and time, time again human greed took the better of people making the not so fortunate buy tutor lessons to learn their abilities some did so by selling themselves to a family others didn't because of their pride and when their pride gave in it was to late.
Evan stood there, closed his eyes his ear twitched when he heard heavy breathing like someone was running him wanting to get back the children as soon as possible he rushed off his speed was equivalent to a bike being rowed by a athlete. He soon caught up to the boy who was in a one the Allie the boy put his fists ready for a fight Evan came in slowly with his hands up "I'm not here to hurt you I'm a head of an orphanage I can help you, you, and your friends who doesn't look so good" when Evan said that the boy eyes winced there was two other kids both also male one was brown skinned with his black hair being a jumble up mess while the other was white just like the blonde, and his brown hair looked dirty but what stood out the was the how skinny the browned haired boy looked he looked a gust a wind can blow him off his feet.
When Evan got closer the browned skinned held the skinny boy closer to his chest " hey look I see you want to protect him but he's gonna die if don't get help, and I can be that help but you need to let me trust me can tomatoes won't help" after Evan said that he could tell the blonde boy was considering it he then clicked his tongue, and said "fine" Evan smile at the answer, the boy gave Evan the can back and then they walk their way to back to the orphanage.
When they got there Evan he put the child on a bed in a medical room he then told one of kids to put up the groceries and other to get a first aid kit he then pulled up a tablet the blonde could see his and the other two boys name of it his eyes widen, "ho-how" "as soon as you walk in I could yours and their information kite" Evan said that part with a smirk, "you know our name so what" kite said than Evan smirk disappeared "look just by looking at you a can tell your more of a leader type and you want to protect uh… Kevin and Gavin, if you want to do that you should stay here the streets aren't safe for you kids, what are gonna do if one of them get hurt or worse, and the worse part was about to happen if I hadn't step in Gavin would have most likely die in a week and I don't want a kid death on my conscious think about."
A day later
Evan hear a knock on his office door while sitting at his desk he the three boys one with a cane to hold himself up "Kite, Gavin, and Kevin what seems to be the problem?" Kite step up and said with a smile on his "we're staying"
