Chapter 1 - CREATION

When time was new. Legend has it that two great gods fought for who was greater, fought for who was to take the position as the ruler and punisher of all gods.

They fought for years without the assistance of any other god, but there was still not a winner. Odin and Asura decided to create a subordinate to help them in the battle.

Odin created the seven ack angels, angels, and the light bearers while Asura created the seven deadly sins, devils, and demons.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months turned into years and years into centuries and there was still not a winner.

There battle was said to be the fiercest and annihilating battle in the god's realm, but as time passed Odin eventually lost interest in the battle, declaring Asura ruler and punisher of all gods. Then he went far away from the gods realm and created the sun, moon and nine planets. He also created something from his image and likeness and called them man, he kept them in all nine planet making it suitable and conducive for each of them.

When Asura found out about Odin's creation, he left the gods realm boiling in anger

"Transfigurative course" he said stretching his hand towards the nine planet. Thick black fog started emitting from his hand slowly swallowing each of the nine planet, sofacating every living being inside and turning them into beast.

Ringggggg!!!

The sound of the bell echoed in the entire school

"Okay everyone school is over, I'll continue the story some other day" the professor said closing the big black book he was reading the history from and was about leaving the classroom when the entire student shouted.

"Nooooo"

"I know you all want to hear the rest of the story, but school is over. And beside they will be a feast today in diagon. You should all go home and prepare" he said, leaving the class. A few minutes later, literally everyone was out of the class except from Malcon, a boy with an untidy black hair that partly covered his forehead. The darkness of his hair framed his pale skin, making his feature stand out like a work of art. His eyes gleamed like rubies, his check bone and pointed chin gave him a striking appearance. His rich red lips were tin and pressed together, giving him a resolute and determined look. He sat down lost in thought, as he glared into space. He had a lot of question he needed to ask the professor. And how did earth survive Asura, he asked himself

" hey malcon, class is already over. Lets get going"

Malcon turned his head, only to see his best friend James standing in front of him.

He was the tallest in the class. looking at him once more malcon couldn't help but smile, bird of the same feather indeed flock together, he said to him self. James had a shoulder length green messy hair like Malcon's. and a small baby dragon lay comfortably on his hair sleeping.

" lets get going then" Malcon said standing up from his chair

You're turning fifteen today, right?" James asked Malcon as they left the school compound.

"Yeah" malcon replied happily, He'd been waiting for this day for a long time now.

Everyone who was a true blood of diagon, has this very rare gift of talking to dragons. The most frightening part of it was that fire couldn't hurt them, and at the age of fifteen you awaken your dragon.

Malcon could already feel his stomach boiling up, and it was ticklish.

"i will see you and your dragon in the feast then" James said, waving Malcon good bye as he walked to the opposite street.

Malcon was not planning to go home straight, even though there was a feast today in diagon. He wanted to keep up with his daily routine of training everyday after school, so he would be as strong as his brother Eden mal. He became the strongest mage in the whole of diagon, but he left the kingdom when Malcon was ten and three years later some explorers reported that they saw mal head near the forbidden forest. Even though it has been two years since mal death his name never died with him, instead he was used to motivate little children.

Malcon climbed up to the top of the hill where he and mal normally visited to train. It was peaceful and quite as usually, the sky was blue and bright yet cloudless. For some reason the feeling of the wind smashing across his face was relaxing, and the leaves kept on waving as the wind went by.

He sat down on a lotus and closed his eye, he had made up his mind that today he would focus on his mana core and cultivate.

Though there are different methods of cultivating, each method work with a different speed and concentration.

One could cultivate by absorbing the abundant mana in his surroundings, channeling this mana in your body takes a lot of time and concentration.

The second way to cultivate is to use beast crystals. This crystals works inform of a heart for the beast, so when a beast is killed the crystals are extracted, and can be used to cultivate or taken to a forge master who uses this crystals to create weapon, but the stronger the beast the stronger the crystals.

Malcon cultivated for hours before he remembered about the feast, and the boiling sensation in his stomach wasn't so ticklish again. Making it hard for him to concentrate when cultivating.

He clenched his stomach in pain as he stood up from the ground, it was already late and he knew his parent would be dead worried looking for him.

Suddenly Malcon had this feeling that he wasn't alone, he turned his head sharply only to see a raven sitting on a tree branch.

How could a bird have such death intent, Malcon asked himself resting his back on a tree, For a second he thought it was a beast.

He looked up at the birds once more, but this time his eyes widened in fear. Someone was sitting were the bird once stood, he had a hard time telling if it was a male or female, as the person was completely covered in shadows. But one thing he knew for sure was that the person was an Eden, only the members of Eden family could posses shadow as an ability.

Malcon knew it wasn't his father, his brother was dead and his mom was a fire mage.

The death instinct that was emitting from his body was breathtaking, even though Malcon could use shadow, he was sure he didn't stand a chance against this guy. Not wasting anymore time he quickly turned his back ready to run, and at that moment he regretted why he ever turned his back at his enemy.

Something hard was slammed on his head, his vision immediately became blurry and he stumbled, struggling to keep conscience. his head ached and his eyes were too heavy for him to keep it open, he felt himself falling backward, and  the last thing he saw was the shadow figure standing not to far from him.

Malcon slowly opened his eye to find the moon and stars staring back at him. He quickly stood up looking for the shadow figure, but he couldn't find him or sense his presence.

Malcon could still feel a slight pain on his head but overlooked it, his greatest concern now was to get back to diagon.

He quickly ran down the hill, the forest was thick and dark. The light from the moon was useless as it couldn't help him see a thing, and the excruciating pain he felt boiling up in his stomach, wasn't helping him concentrate.

After running for about five minutes, he was sure he was getting close to diagon as that area was completely covered in smoke.

They Were probably frying something, Malcon said to himself, but he noticed something weird. There was not a sound heard, not even music or a group of family chatting, drowned in curiosity he ran towards the village.

On getting to diagon it seemed as if Malcon's body got petrified, for a while he stood still staring at his village.

The village lay in ruins. Its roof, consumed by flame, the air was heavy with the smell of smoke. bodies littered on the ground. The earth was scorched and blackened, as if the very life had been burned out of it. The once thriving village was now a scene of utter devastation.
