I followed him up the stairs to Lea’s allotted room, hoping that she would be inside and she wouldn’t rebuff me for trying to talk to her. I just wanted a chance to know what was going on. I knock on her door and Mason and I wait patiently for her to open the door when I hear shuffling noises coming from inside the room. The door swings open a few seconds later and I see a sleepy-eyed Lea on the other side. Her eyes land on me and then instantly focus on her brother.
/"What happened to you?/" she asks Mason, when she realizes, he is dripping juice from his clothes in the hallway.
/"Nothing. We were just playing around./" In a beat, this crazy kid bounds inside the room, and a second later, I hear the sound of bags unzipping and he’s already off searching for clothes.
