'Just a little more,' Ben thought. He saw that the people were close to the bunker, but not quite there yet. They would still have to wait for it to be opened after they arrived, and get in. He returned his focus to the Aberration. It had healed the nasty wound, not even a scratch could be seen.
'I have to finish this before it attracts other Abominations.'
What he was worried about was not this single Aberration, but other Abominations appearing. As a Rank 1 Evolutionary, he could go toe to toe with a Rank 1 Aberration, and you could say an Evolutionary had the advantage due to weapons and the difference in intelligence. The problem would be facing a Rank 2 Abomination or multiple Rank 1 Aberrations just like this one at once. Although the Evolutionaries held the advantage after they Evolved in the same rank, it wasn't as big of a difference to make up for big number discrepancies.
