Chapter 49 - CH-49: At The Fortress.

The ones with E.V.R.S.T. capsules received them after getting off the Abomination's mouth and loaded them into trucks waiting in the dock. Then they also got on other vehicles and set off for the fortress-like base Sean had seen. There were a series of barbed wire fences and spikes near the fortress, and Sean could see the gun turrets at each corner of the chiselled stone walls. What kind of stone it was made of, Sean didn't know. The base was bigger than the Camp and had several buildings inside to accommodate everyone. They were placed into those that were made for those serving two years. After they had settled down, they were called out for a briefing and were notified of their schedule. There wasn't much on the timetable other than the meal times, as the missions could take sometimes weeks. They were given a week of grace period as they wouldn't be sent on a mission.
