Jayden went melee, but since he was farther to the flag than the front, he went to the front instead. He would rather bully those without strings than participate in guarding the flag. They would do fine without him anyway. He had already assisted as much as he could; they would understand. What would a sharpshooter could do without his gun? He could only bully the weak. Was he a prick for doing that? Yes. Did he care? Hell no. So leaving the flag on his back, he rushed to the front. The situation was more grim there, and they needed every bit of help they could get.
Meanwhile, the flag guards were in a fierce battle and although in a stalemate, they were slowly shrugging off the ambushers. Sean and Latoya took charge in the defence of the flag, and Sean gave it his 150% so nobody would call him a slacker later. It was true he and his unit were only chasing others for the last few hours, so they had to make up for it now.
