Chapter 2 - Early Life in Nyxholm and Introduction to Sisters

The morning sun cast its golden rays across the sprawling gardens of Nyxholm Palace. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the soft chirping of birds. In a bright, airy nursery, baby Azrael Stormwind cooed contentedly in his cradle. Lady Elara, the ever-dutiful nurse, gently rocked the cradle with a practiced hand.

**"Good morning, little prince,"** she murmured, her silver hair catching the sunlight as she leaned in close. Her gray eyes sparkled with warmth as she peered down at the baby. **"Another day of discovery awaits you."**

Azrael's first months were a flurry of activity. As he grew, the palace became his playground, and each day brought new experiences and challenges. The nursery was filled with an assortment of toys—delicate wooden animals, colorful mobiles, and plush stuffed creatures—all of which fascinated the young prince.

The door to the nursery creaked open, and the eldest sister, Rhiannon, entered with a graceful stride. Her emerald eyes softened as she saw the baby. **"Morning, Elara,"** she greeted, her voice a soothing melody. **"Is our little prince awake?"**

**"He's been up for a while,"** Elara replied, gently patting Azrael's tiny hand. **"He seems quite content today. I think he's eager to see everyone."**

Rhiannon smiled and leaned over the cradle. **"Hello there, Azrael,"** she said, her voice filled with affection. **"How's my favorite little prince? Ready to meet the rest of the family?"**

As if sensing the excitement, Azrael gurgled and reached out, his tiny fingers grasping at the air. Rhiannon chuckled softly and picked him up, cradling him in her arms. **"You're getting so strong,"** she said, her voice tender as she rocked him gently. **"Soon enough, you'll be exploring every corner of this palace."**

In the hallway, the sound of approaching footsteps signaled the arrival of the other sisters. Morgana, with her raven-black hair and violet eyes, was the first to enter. **"I heard there was a royal appearance scheduled this morning,"** she teased, her tone light and playful. **"I hope I'm not too late for the show."**

**"You're just in time,"** Rhiannon said, turning to greet Morgana. **"Azrael's been waiting to meet everyone."**

Next came Elysia, her golden hair shimmering in the sunlight. She walked with a grace that matched her calm demeanor. **"Good morning,"** she said softly, her hazel eyes sparkling as she looked at Azrael. **"He's grown so much already."**

Thalia followed, her fiery red hair bouncing with each step. **"Is it just me, or does he look more regal every day?"** she joked, her green eyes twinkling with amusement. **"We might have a future king on our hands."**

**"He certainly seems to have the makings of one,"** Rhiannon agreed with a smile. **"But for now, he's just a baby who loves to be cuddled."**

Vespera entered next, her dark brown hair framing her face with a serene expression. **"I brought a gift,"** she announced, holding out a beautifully crafted wooden toy. **"I thought it might brighten his day."**

Selena and Lyra arrived together. Selena's silver hair gleamed, and her piercing blue eyes scanned the room with a gentle curiosity. **"Did I miss anything?"** she asked, her voice soft and inquisitive.

**"Only the most adorable sight,"** Rhiannon replied. **"Azrael's already had quite the reception."**

Lyra, with her auburn hair and green eyes, smiled warmly. **"He looks so peaceful,"** she observed, her voice tender. **"It's wonderful to see him surrounded by so much love."**

As the sisters gathered around, they took turns holding Azrael, each one adding their unique touch to the baby's day. Laughter and soft conversation filled the room, creating a lively and loving atmosphere.

**"It's hard to believe how much he's changed in such a short time,"** Rhiannon said, her voice filled with wonder. **"Each day brings something new."

**"Yes,"** Elysia agreed, her tone reflective. **"It's amazing how quickly he's growing. Before we know it, he'll be running around and causing all sorts of mischief."**

**"Let's hope he inherits our best traits,"** Morgana added with a playful wink. **"And none of our bad habits."**

The sisters laughed, their voices mingling with the soft gurgles of the baby. As the day went on, they continued to bond with Azrael, sharing stories, laughter, and love. The nursery, once a simple room, was now a vibrant space filled with the energy and affection of the royal family.

The time spent together helped to forge the deep connections that would shape Azrael's upbringing. Each sister brought her own qualities to the relationship, creating a rich tapestry of love and support around the young prince.

**"This is just the beginning,"** Rhiannon said softly as she gazed at her siblings and the baby. **"Together, we'll watch him grow and guide him as he becomes the leader he's meant to be."**

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the palace, the sisters reluctantly bid farewell to the nursery. Azrael, nestled comfortably in his cradle, drifted off to sleep, surrounded by the love of his family.
