"Ahh, what was that sound." Ethan was awoken by the thundering sound after his personal butler opened the door.
"Good morning sir, your bath is prepared." Mr Eric said.
" Thanks but next time I'd like to enjoy my sleep for at least another hour ,am I clear? " Ethan asked
" Yes sir, pardon my disturbances it won't happen again." Mr Eric begged and left the room.
Ethan got up from his bed wearing only shorts, he could be easily mistaken for a god with his jet black hair,piercing blue eyes, intimidating height and muscular build. Though he dedicated himself to his work he made sure to also build his statue so as not to look weak or pathetic, if there's anything he hates more than love it's being weak.
After few stretches he starts his daily routine,after which he went down to have breakfast with his family.
" Good morning Mom, good morning Dad." He greeted as he approached the dining room.
His dad was seated at the head of the dining table while his mom was seated by his left side, his brother and his wife were seated at the right side.
"Good morning brother,how was your night."Xander greeted.
" Short as usual."Ethan's voice echoed.
" Good morning brother in-law."
"Morning Jessica." He greeted his brother's wife,the lady seemed to be scared of him, just the way he liked it.
"Enough with the morning formalities, Ethan how's things going for the company.?" Mr Ryder asked.
" It's going well, our competitors are no way near us."Ethan said biting a slice of bread and sipping tea.
" Honey that's okay let him be,I feel like you are one of the reasons why he keeps on coming late and leaving early, you never let him rest." His mom complained.
" I've given him enough chances for rest, he doesn't take his breaks."
" I worry about his health,and also don't you think it's time that he starts building his family, he's not getting any younger." His mom said concerned.
" I agree with your mom, don't you think it's about time you pick a wife, you are not getting any younger."
" Dad,mom please this is one of the reasons why I'd rather spend my nights outside than in the house,I'd like to take my leave." He turned to look at his butler.
" Eric tell my chauffeur to get the car ready."
" Yes sir." Eric bowed and left.
"Mom, dad I'll see you in a week time." He stood up to leave casually like nothing had happened. Barely close to the door his dad shouted.
"If you're not going to get a wife, then how about you never come back and if you don't come back I'll personally publicize this issue,I own to the company,I can simply take it from you and give it to your brother."
" How do you expect that to take care of the company.?" He replied pointing his brother.
" Think whatever you want, I'm giving you two months and I'll take matters into my....." He stormed out before his dad could complete his threat.
" Ethan, do you take this as a joke watch and see, I'll make sure I keep my promise." Mr Ryder continued shouting.
" Dad please it's okay at least he's not gay, which means no matter how hard he tries he can't escape marriage." Xander said trying to calm his father.
During his ride to the office Ethan was boiling with anger.
" How dare Xander, me gay if I can't like women then it's men. What do they think of me, I'll do whatever I want, it's not like that thing could ever run the company." He kept on hissing until he finally got to the office.
Ethan finally calmed down when he got to the office, this was the only place that gave him joy, where he knows that he can be free and not have to worry about his parents
Linda his secretary walked up to him, looking as her usual smart self, just the way he likes it.
"Early as always miss Linda,you look outstanding today." He complemented.
" Thanks for noticing,sir."Linda blushed.
" How's my schedule for today?"
" Huh, you have a meeting with investors by twelve pm,that meeting ends by two after that you have site inspection for our branch office and tea with Mr Charles at his house, well there's one last meeting."
" When's that gonna hold?"
" Now, the board is already waiting for you sir ."
" Shit." He cursed. He walked briskly to the meeting room.
When he opened the door everyone stood up to greet him.
"Good morning sir."
" A good morning to you all, please make this brief I have other things on my schedule." The meeting was successful and he went ahead to do the next planned event.
