The scene was shrouded in a heavy, foreboding atmosphere, with the turbulent ocean waves crashing against the rocks as the battle between Throk and Aelion against Mardhona raged on. The sun, once shining at full intensity, began to set, and with it, Throk's strength was gradually fading.
Mardhona, the dreaded mother of Leviathan, remained relentless, commanding the water currents and summoning shadows that entwined around the battlefield. Throk, with his Solar Form still active, was using the last of his strength in the fight. His Spirit Energy Drain continued to siphon Poseidon's energy, but its effect was nearing its end.
- Aelion: "We're running out of time," murmured Aelion, whose roots emerged from the ground, intertwining around their enemies and forcing them to keep their distance. His Root Manipulation and Total Gale helped restrain Mardhona, but the dark energy emanating from her seemed inexhaustible.
As the battle progressed, Throk's Spiritual Energy Drain weakened. Poseidon's strength began to return, slowly but surely. His body vibrated with power as the tides around him seemed to respond to his will, yet his gaze remained empty, still under Mardhona's Master Control.
Throk, feeling the weight of his weakness grow as the sun continued to set, unleashed his final attack: Solar Vengeance. A blazing beam of light shot from his fist toward Poseidon, but it no longer held its former devastating impact. Poseidon, with a simple gesture, summoned the Aegis of the Abyss, effortlessly deflecting the attack. Throk felt the last remnants of his energy leave him as he collapsed to his knees.
- Throk: "Damn it... the sun... it's setting," he muttered, his vision darkening as Mardhona approached, ready to reclaim full control over Poseidon.
But before she could act, Aelion, using his Protective Shell ability, enveloped Poseidon in a protective cocoon of spiritual energy. The shell pulsed with vibrant energy, blocking any attempt by Mardhona to reach him.
- Aelion: "You won't touch him again!" Aelion shouted.
As the Protective Shell trapped Poseidon within and barred Mardhona from entry, she snarled in fury, her eyes gleaming with a dark light, and charged at Aelion, knowing he couldn't move without deactivating the cocoon.
With Poseidon still confined, Mardhona unleashed a barrage of ferocious attacks: Abyssal Tides, massive black waves of water enshrouded in pure darkness, pounded the battlefield. Shadow Currents coiled around Aelion's body, attempting to crush him, while Mardhona's Explosive Blood evaporated into corrosive vapors in the air. But Aelion held firm, immobilized yet determined to protect Poseidon at all costs.
It was then that the once-turbulent sea began to still. A surge of energy coursed through the waters, and Neptune, the Guardian of the Ocean, emerged from the depths. His aura was imposing, more powerful than ever before. The resonance of his Tide ability rippled across the battlefield, and with a furious roar, he launched himself at Mardhona.
She, in turn, growled upon recognizing her new opponent. Wielding her Leviathan Claws, razor-sharp and deadly, she attempted to fend off Neptune. Her strikes clashed against his Aquatic Veil, but Neptune was relentless. The clash of their auras shook the air and waves around them.
Neptune, steadfast, maneuvered across the battlefield like a current, dodging Mardhona's devastating attacks, including her Submerged Death Mist. Their battle was fierce and swift, until Neptune decided to end it once and for all.
Raising his hand to the sky, Neptune summoned a never-before-seen technique: Nova Vortex.
The air around seemed to freeze for a moment as a massive whirlpool of water and wind erupted from the sea, growing with destructive force. The vortex spun with staggering speed, drawing Mardhona to its center, where her malevolent aura was torn apart by the crushing pressure of purified water and the devastating power of the winds. Mardhona screamed in agony as she was consumed by the technique's overwhelming force.
Neptune, with a resolute gaze, sustained the vortex until Mardhona's cries faded, and she vanished into the depths.
The battle was over. Neptune turned his eyes to Aelion, still maintaining the Protective Shell around Poseidon.
- Neptune: "At last, my father is free after all these years," he said as he approached the cocoon.
Aelion, exhausted, dispelled the barrier, releasing Poseidon, who finally collapsed to his knees, freed from Mardhona's control.
- Aelion: "Let's give him time to recover," he said, his voice heavy with relief.
As the sun finally set on the horizon, the waters grew calm. Throk, injured, slowly rose to his feet, his powers now extinguished but with a sense of accomplishment. The battle had finally come to an end.
