Chapter 28 - Chapter 12.1 - The "Grand" Finale

Silence hung over the arena, interrupted only by the sound of anxious footsteps echoing through the stands. The announcer, with a deep and ceremonial tone, addressed the crowd:

- Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen, due to the unexpected cancellation of the previous battles and the absence of the competitors, we are now about to witness the final of the Dianmari Tournament! The final fight will be between Feérica Lilya, the Fairy Queen, and Gronnak, the Metal Giant! Let the combat begin!"

The crowd settled into their seats, taking deep breaths as they awaited the start of the final battle. The sun was high, casting a brilliant glow over the battlefield, creating a dramatic contrast with the heavy atmosphere of tension.

Flashback:

The stage was an immense battle arena, illuminated by the afternoon light. The atmosphere was thick with tension and expectation. The setting was different, more rustic and primitive, but the air was charged with electricity.

Seraphina, Lilya's rival, stood at the center of the arena, her imposing and threatening presence evident. With a look of disdain and superiority, she glared at Lilya, who stood only a few steps away.

- Seraphina: "So, you finally decided to show up, Lilya? I never thought a fairy like you would have the courage to face me. But get ready, because I won't show you mercy just because you're a little princess."

Lilya, with her calm gaze and relaxed posture, simply smiled, a challenging calm expression on her lips. Her eyes shone with quiet determination.

- Lilya: "Seraphina, do you really think you need to challenge me? I'm here just to have fun. No need to try too hard."

The fight began with a crash. Seraphina charged with impressive speed, her spiritual energy radiating a threatening aura. She unleashed a swift and lethal technique, a Tempest Slash, with a sharp blade that seemed to cut the air as it sought Lilya. But the Fairy Queen moved with supernatural agility, dodging the attacks with fluid grace.

Seraphina was immersed in quick and fierce attacks, but Lilya remained calm and serene. She observed each movement, studying her opponent's attack pattern. Then, in a moment of pure precision and control, Lilya went on the offensive.

With an elegant and decisive motion, Lilya wielded her Halberd Bastion in an almost imperceptible movement to most spectators. The halberd cut through the air with devastating force, creating a Devastating Moonlight that shone brightly and surged toward Seraphina.

Lilya's attack was fast and decisive. Seraphina tried to raise a defense, but the Devastating Moonlight pierced her guard with ease, striking her with an explosion of light and power. The impact was devastating, and Seraphina was thrown backward, fallen and incapacitated on the ground.

The arena was in absolute silence as the dust settled. Lilya approached, her expression still calm and unshaken, as Seraphina struggled to rise, a look of shock and frustration on her face.

- Seraphina: "How... how did you...?"

Lilya, still holding/levitating the Halberd Bastion, looked at Seraphina with a gentle smile and a sparkle in her eyes.

- Lilya: "I told you I was here just to have fun. I hope it was an enjoyable show for you."

Seraphina, exhausted and defeated, couldn't respond. With a gesture of disdain, Lilya turned and left, leaving the arena behind with her unquestionable victory.

The flashback ended with a vision of Lilya's enigmatic smile as she prepared for her next battle. The contrast between the past and the present highlighted her evolution as a warrior, and the final battle in the Dianmari Tournament seemed to reflect the power and skill she had accumulated over the years.

Lilya entered the arena with graceful lightness, her presence radiating confidence and power. She wielded the Halberd Bastion with elegance, her steps soft as she walked toward the center of the field. Her eyes sparkled with a playful challenge and almost a touch of disdain.

Gronnak, the Metal Giant, advanced with heavy steps, each one resonating like thunder in the arena. His imposing figure and firm gaze reflected the seriousness and determination of a veteran warrior. The dust rose with each movement, and the heat of the day seemed to intensify the tension of the battle about to begin.

The combat started with a crash, Gronnak attacking with a Colossus Punch, his iron hand moving with devastating force. Lilya, with surprising agility, dodged with an elegant leap, spinning the Halberd in a fluid motion. She countered with a Radiant Storm, the beam of light illuminating the arena and enveloping Gronnak in an explosion of pure energy.

Gronnak, undeterred, counterattacked with Iron Spikes, projecting metal spikes toward Lilya. But the Fairy Queen, with an agile gesture, used Aquatic Torrent to create a water barrier that absorbed the spikes, dissipating them before they could reach her.

The confrontation continued with a series of intense attacks and brilliant defenses. Lilya, unshaken, used Devastating Moonlight, a strike that seemed to transform the arena into a battlefield illuminated by lunar light. Gronnak, with difficulty, raised an Iron Wall to protect himself, but the impact still made his defense tremble.

Gronnak launched a Massive Metal, turning the earth around him into a mass of metal, attempting to dominate the field with a crushing attack. Lilya, with incomparable grace, used Disaster's Resplendor to create a wave of light that cut through the metal, dissipating the pressure and returning the attack with a devastating brilliance.

The fight was unfolding in an epic fashion, with both fighters showcasing their abilities to the fullest. Gronnak was clearly wounded, his clothes torn and blood flowing from his injuries. His movements were becoming heavier and slower, while Lilya remained practically unscathed, her playful gaze never leaving her face.

Lilya approached Gronnak, who was now panting and nearly out of strength. With an enigmatic smile, she swung the Halberd Bastion with an elegant motion. Gronnak tried to counterattack with one final Iron Spikes, but Lilya blocked it with the Halberd Bastion and responded with the Eighth Form: Moon Lily - Explosion. The halberd shone brightly, creating an explosion of energy that engulfed Gronnak in a storm of light and magic.

When the dust settled, Gronnak was fallen, defeated and exhausted. Lilya stood tall, her aura glowing with radiant light. The victory was clearly in her hands, and the arena cheered for her impressive performance.

- Lilya: "Ah, what a fun fight! But it seems like it's time to wrap it up. I didn't expect it to be this easy."

Gronnak, lying on the ground with an expression of pain and exhaustion, looked at Lilya with silent respect. Her strength and skill were undeniable, and even in defeat, he recognized the superiority of his opponent.

- Announcer: "Victory for Feérica Lilya, the Fairy Queen! She is the champion of this year's Dianmari Tournament!"

As the crowd celebrated and the arena filled with excitement, the chapter ended with Lilya raising the Halberd Bastion in a triumphant gesture. The fight had been a grand spectacle, and Lilya's victory solidified her position as one of the most powerful and impressive figures of the tournament.
