"These things do not belong to you."
"Hand them over!" Ronan demanded.
The response Syd gave was a condescending look.
Feeling the derision in Syd's eyes, Ronan's irritation flared, and he sneered coldly, "Seeking death, are we? Then I'll be happy to oblige!"
With that, he ordered, "Destroy him! Open fire!"
Star-Lord and the others watched in horror.
"It's over…" Rocket Raccoon slapped his face in despair.
Once the white-clad mysterious figure was dealt with, it would be their turn next.
In an instant, the weapons of the flying vehicles began to glow.
Then, a barrage of faint green energy bullets erupted from the flying vehicles, raining down upon the floating figure.
Boom, boom, boom!
The sky filled with a dense, almost storm-like barrage of energy bullets, all converging on the mysterious figure.
As Star-Lord and the others despaired, something extraordinary happened. The seemingly unstoppable barrage of energy bullets was being blocked!
The figure, surrounded by the Infinity Stones, wasn't even using their power. He simply raised his right hand.
A red glow emerged.
A layer of red energy shield materialized, enveloping him completely.
The faint green energy bullets continued to slam against the red energy shield.
Yet, no matter how forcefully they struck, the shield remained unyielding, showing no sign of breaking or collapsing.
The figure continued to float, surrounded by the four Infinity Stones, as if nothing was happening.
"Quill, am I hallucinating?" Rocket Raccoon muttered.
"No, I don't think so. What we're seeing is real because I see it too…" Star-Lord replied in shock.
"Right, I see it too…" Gamora confirmed.
They all fell into shock, staring at the scene before them.
What kind of power is this?
Is there truly someone who can single-handedly withstand the assault of hundreds of flying vehicles?
If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they would have thought anyone claiming such a thing was insane.
Star-Lord hesitated, "Is he using the power of the Infinity Stones?"
Given the terrifying nature of the scene, this was the only explanation that made sense.
Rocket Raccoon and the others, to varying degrees, shared this thought.
Maybe this was the power of the Infinity Stones?
That would make sense.
However, before they could fully accept this idea, Tivan, who was knowledgeable in such matters, shook his head and said, "No, this is not the power of the stones. It's his own ability."
"The stones release energy and light."
"Each stone has its own distinct power. The red energy shield doesn't match the characteristics of the four stones…"
"The Reality Stone, which seems most similar, distorts and briefly alters reality. This red shield doesn't align with its properties…"
Moreover, he hadn't been in contact with the Infinity Stones just now…
Listening to Tivan's explanation, Star-Lord and the others had to reluctantly accept that the red energy shield indeed came from the figure's own abilities.
But how absurd was that!
"You're telling me that this shield is something a person can produce?"
Star-Lord pointed at the red energy shield, firmly holding against the endless green energy bullets, with a face full of disbelief.
Rocket Raccoon shared the same sentiment, doubting whether they were living in the same world. How could this be so outrageous?
As they were bewildered and questioning reality, the pilots of the flying vehicles and Ronan himself were also stunned.
Even Nova Prime and the others at the Nova Corps headquarters were left dumbfounded.
On-site.
"How did you do that?" Ronan shouted in shock.
Syd glanced at him but didn't respond, feeling a bit annoyed.
The constant barrage of energy bullets was becoming bothersome, as blocking them required ongoing energy expenditure.
In the next moment, Syd began his counterattack.
"I said, let there be light."
A divine-sounding voice with a mysterious cadence echoed through the area.
What is this?
Whether it was Ronan, Nova Prime, or Star-Lord and the others, they all felt puzzled.
Then, the next moment, they understood what was happening.
Due to the environment, the barren land was dark, lacking any real light, as there was no star or sun present.
But at this moment, the barren land was illuminated with its own light.
Bright golden rays of sunlight bathed the land!
The brilliant light transformed the desolate and gloomy place into something beautiful.
For a moment, everyone felt as though it was morning and they were being bathed in sunlight.
"What did you do?" Ronan asked, stunned.
Not only him, but everyone looked at the white-clad figure with awe and disbelief.
Seeing this unscientific spectacle, Star-Lord was overwhelmed, questioning, "Is this guy a god?"
Rocket Raccoon murmured, "The absurd things we've seen today just keep piling up…"
"This…" Gamora extended her hand to feel the sunlight.
Warm and pleasant.
"This is real sunlight!" she exclaimed, astonished.
At the Nova Corps headquarters.
Watching the scene unfold, Nova Prime and the others were in utter shock.
Just as they were trying to comprehend the situation, a terrifying new scene unfolded.
Syd looked up at the sunlight and then focused his mind.
Under his mental control, the sunlight covering the barren land concentrated into a blinding beam.
Instantly, the barren land returned to darkness.
Everyone stared, mesmerized, as the blinding beam of light cut through the sky.
Boom, boom, boom!
Flying vehicles were sliced apart by the beam, crashing and exploding.
In no time, the sky was filled with fiery red explosions.
Watching the flying vehicles being swiftly destroyed by the beam and the white-clad figure now high above, bathed in sunlight and surrounded by the four stones...
Soon, all the flying vehicles were obliterated, and the terrifying beam dissipated, with sunlight gradually reappearing.
Gazing at the figure high above, illuminated by sunlight and surrounded by the four Infinity Stones, everyone felt as if they were witnessing a deity.
"You…" Ronan looked at the scene before him in disbelief.
