The sight of the Sentinels standing still was both bewildering and unnerving for the four captives inside the building.
Why weren't the Sentinels attacking? Why were they just staring at the figure in black?
This strange and eerie scene left Wellington and the others perplexed and anxious.
At that very moment, an alarm sounded in a nearby research facility.
The blaring alarm jolted the personnel monitoring the Sentinels into action.
"Alarm triggered?"
"What's going on?"
In front of several monitors sat two men dressed in blue uniforms.
They were responsible for overseeing the Sentinels. Each Sentinel was equipped with surveillance cameras that transmitted real-time footage.
Their job was to constantly scan the footage and report any anomalies to higher-ups.
However, there were times when they missed something due to the sheer volume of monitors they had to watch.
Therefore, the Sentinels were programmed to trigger an alert if something serious occurred, such as damage to a Sentinel.
Hearing the alert, the two operators, Sheriff and Klaus, initially thought that one of the Sentinels had suffered damage or malfunctioned.
Sheriff, a tall, middle-aged man with a receding hairline, commented, "Another powerful mutant has appeared?"
Klaus, a younger man in his twenties, looked astonished. "Is the mutant so powerful that it can disable a Sentinel?"
Since the start of their operations to capture mutants, they had only heard such alarms a few times.
Now, a new mutant seemed to be causing trouble?
The two men were filled with surprise and confusion.
As they quickly searched for the source of the alarm, they soon found the relevant footage.
When they saw the mysterious figure in black on the monitor, their expressions froze, and fear spread across their faces.
"Is that… Messiah?"
"Am I seeing things?"
"How could it be him!"
Sheriff and Klaus were in utter disbelief.
Messiah was different from other mutants. While they could dismiss or assess other mutants, whether ordinary or capable of destroying individual Sentinels, Messiah was another story.
Seeing Messiah instantly shattered their arrogance and replaced it with shock and terror.

In their shock and fear, they hurriedly alerted their superiors.
Soon, Alessandro and Dr. Bolivar arrived at the facility, having been notified of the situation.
"Messiah has been spotted?"
"Where is he?"
Following the information provided by Sheriff and Klaus, Alessandro and Dr. Bolivar quickly reviewed the footage of Messiah.
It really was Messiah!
In an instant, their feelings shifted from cautious to eagerly anticipating the outcome.
In their logic, if they encountered Messiah or the White Knight—both Omega mutants—the Sentinels would enter a conservative mode, avoiding direct confrontation while attempting to replicate their Omega abilities.
Given enough time, if the Sentinels could replicate Omega abilities, even Messiah and the White Knight could be at risk!
"Messiah seems to be overconfident. He didn't learn his lesson last time. This time, let's show him the power of the Sentinels!"
Alessandro and Dr. Bolivar smirked, recalling the time when fake Messiah appeared, and the Sentinels copied his abilities.
They could almost envision Messiah being defeated and killed by his own powers.
As Alessandro and Dr. Bolivar's eyes gleamed with anticipation, back at the scene:
Syd, observing the three Sentinels from a distance, raised an eyebrow.
He had deliberately waited to see if the Sentinels would activate their replication abilities.
Seeing that the Sentinels had not started replicating any abilities after some time, Syd grew impatient.
In the next moment, he resumed walking towards the Sentinels.
Meanwhile, a vehicle arrived at the scene. Iceman Bobby and other mutant students disembarked.
As they arrived, they saw Messiah calmly approaching the Sentinels.
Seeing this, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, and the other students felt a tight knot of worry in their chests.
Messiah should be able to win, right?
Though Messiah was incredibly powerful in their eyes, the fear instilled by the Sentinels left them uneasy.
On the other side, Logan and the others shared similar concerns.
As Syd got closer, the Sentinels finally reacted.
In an instant, one of the Sentinels' black body began to shift and transform into a fiery red, resembling molten lava.
A massive column of fire shot out, heading straight for Syd.
At the same time, another Sentinel's body began to cover itself in crystalline structures, creating a layer of crystal around Syd.
Clearly, this was the power of a Crystal Man.
