The Bifrost, as a simplified and solidified ability, had become a daily-use device. However, there was a difference; the Bifrost as a device consumed less energy and could sustain its power to the extent of destroying planets.
"I wonder if I have the ability to use the Bifrost's teleportation?"
Syd was curious, but since he wasn't sure of the exact method and might lack equipment like Odin's scepter or Thor's Stormbreaker, he couldn't use it.
While Syd pondered, a robust figure appeared in Asgard's palace: Thor.
As soon as he landed and saw Heimdall and Odin, Thor excitedly said, "Father, Heimdall, I'm finally back!"
"I thought I would have to stay on Midgard forever and never see you again…"
As Thor was joyfully chatting and about to say more, Odin's brow furrowed, and he commanded sternly, "Be quiet!"
Thor was taken aback and stopped talking, looking at his father in confusion. He wondered if his father was experiencing something like a mid-life crisis—a term he had learned on Earth.
Before he could ponder further, Odin asked directly, "Thor, what have you been through during this time?"
Thor's expression immediately brightened, and under the scrutiny of Odin and Heimdall, he recounted his experiences on Earth.
Thor began by describing his search for Loki, his fight with Iron Man and Captain America, and his encounter with the White-Clad Hero, who wielded Thor's hammer and displayed divine power. Thor had suspected the hero might be his brother.
Heimdall was the first to show shock. He had sensed divine power in the White-Clad Hero earlier but had dismissed it as a possible illusion.
"Is it really divine power?" Heimdall asked with astonishment.
Thor looked at Heimdall, then at Odin, and nodded vigorously. "Yes, it's divine power!"
"I can sense it's from our Asgardian lineage!"
"This power, Mother, I recognize it. Ordinary Asgardians do not possess such divine power!"
While speaking, Thor furtively glanced at Odin, sensing his father's unusual mood.
Noticing the strange atmosphere, Heimdall quickly redirected the conversation. "Did he defeat you very easily?"
Everyone's attention turned to Thor.
Thor, a bit dejected, nodded. "Father, Mother, Heimdall, you don't know how strong he is!"
"With just one blow, I was defeated. He was incredibly powerful, far beyond anything we've encountered. Both I and my human friends were defeated in a single strike. We all felt the overwhelming force…"
"And he could even summon my hammer, using it better than I could!"
Thor's mood grew darker, feeling like a failure.
Hearing this, Frigga's face showed shock, and even Odin and Heimdall, who were somewhat familiar with Thor's prowess, appeared deeply troubled.
They knew Thor's strength was among the best in Asgard. For someone to defeat him in a single move was both astonishing and intimidating.
Furthermore, there were others present who could hold their own against Thor. The fact that even they were defeated spoke volumes about the hero's power.
Thor then recalled something and turned to Odin, puzzled. "Oh, Father, he also mentioned something about a Rune King Thor…"
"He said that if I understood the power of the Norn runes and awakened divine power to combine them, I could become a true god…"
"That would make me the Rune King Thor he spoke of…"
Thor expressed his confusion and disbelief, thinking that maybe his purported brother was just speaking nonsense.
Upon hearing this, Odin and Frigga's expressions changed.
The room fell silent for a moment before Odin spoke. "Thor, if you truly follow his advice, you could indeed become a true god."
Odin's gaze was filled with anticipation.
"What?!"
Thor was stunned by his father's confirmation, unable to believe it.
So, what his brother said was true? He wasn't lying?
Thor was amazed and thought, "It's incredible that he knows so much! Is there anything he doesn't know?"
Thor marveled at the truth of becoming the Rune King Thor.
