Chapter 21 - Chapter 150: The Divine Light Phenomenon Over Asgard

King Odin frowned deeply.

Such a phenomenon had never occurred in Asgard before. Even in his visions of the future, he had never seen anything like this.

He was uncertain whether this was related to Ragnarok or what kind of changes it might bring to it.

Moreover, it wasn't just an illusion—he sensed a divine aura unique to the Asgardians within this light.

Odin was perplexed.

At that moment, not only Odin and Syd were intrigued, but many Asgardians and Queen Frigga also looked up in amazement at the unusual sight in the sky.

"What is this?"

"It's so warm, and my heart is filled with joy..."

The Asgardians were all astonished by this sudden phenomenon.

In the distance, at the entrance of a palace.

Queen Frigga, with her golden hair and elegant attire exuding grandeur, reached out her hand to catch the light.

Uncertain of the cause, her intuition told her that this light was somehow closely connected to her, which left her feeling puzzled.

She didn't know why she had this feeling, but her intuition urged her to seek answers.

She stepped towards where King Odin was to find out what was happening.

Meanwhile, the Asgardians and Thor were even more astonished.

As they investigated, they learned that this phenomenon was not limited to Asgard. It had appeared in all Nine Realms, including Jotunheim, Midgard (Earth), and Niflheim!

At the former site of the Bifrost Bridge.

Heimdall, clad in golden armor and with his hands resting on the hilt of his golden sword, watched the Nine Realms with his golden eyes.

"How's Heimdall doing? Has he discovered the cause of this phenomenon?" Thor asked, approaching Heimdall with a look of confusion.

Heimdall turned his golden eyes towards Thor and replied in a deep voice, "I don't know. I haven't seen what triggered this, but I suggest you should go to Midgard."

"Why do you say that?" Thor asked, scratching his head, frustrated by Heimdall's vague answer.

Fortunately, Heimdall continued, "The phenomenon first appeared in Midgard and then spread to other realms. It's likely connected to Midgard. You should investigate there."

Thor understood but was still puzzled as to why Heimdall couldn't identify the cause.

He asked, and Heimdall glanced at him, saying, "Thor, I am not omniscient and cannot observe everything."

Though Heimdall said this, the truth was that due to the destruction of the Bifrost Bridge, he had been focusing on the signs of rebellion among the frost giants and dark elves, leaving him little time to pay attention to Midgard.

After all, Midgard had always been peaceful and posed no threat to Asgard, so it wasn't worth much attention—perhaps just an occasional glance.

Because of this, he hadn't detected the cause of the phenomenon in time.

Thor felt a bit awkward.

However, hearing Heimdall's suggestion, he indeed considered going to Midgard again.

He recalled a mysterious figure in white who radiated divine power.

He hadn't figured out why the figure had divine power last time, but this time, he hoped to get answers.

Yet, there was another issue.

"But Heimdall, the Bifrost Bridge is destroyed. How can I get to Midgard?" Thor asked, looking puzzled.

"Don't worry, I have other ways to send you to Midgard," Heimdall said calmly.

While they were talking, on Earth.

At this point, the phenomenon was almost fading, and Syd also noticed the event triggered by himself.

He was quite surprised.

What's going on?

"Could it be related to the rumored personification of the light concept associated with Baldur?"

"Is this phenomenon a result of awakening the power of light?"

Syd recalled some information about Baldur, the Norse god of light.

In Norse mythology, Baldur, the god of light, was born with divine light power.

Syd's awakening was similar to the birth of the god of light.

The appearance of a deity usually brings some kind of phenomenon, especially for the birth of a light deity.

At this moment.

"Hey, Syd, what just happened?"

"Your aura of light is one thing, but why is the sky also glowing?"

Venom, in Syd's right hand, was filled with shock and confusion as it communicated through their mental connection.

"And my emotions seem to be affected..." Venom then described its experience.

As Venom spoke, Syd understood what had happened. Besides the light in the sky, those exposed to it, including them, experienced a shift in emotions, becoming more peaceful and joyful.

He speculated that the light's effect might be due to Baldur, the god of light, who was also the god of joy.

"Perhaps that's why the light made Venom feel at peace and filled with joy?" Syd pondered, stroking his chin.

Aside from this possibility, he couldn't think of another reason for the phenomenon.

Thinking further, Syd considered other implications.

The death of Baldur, who symbolized the sun and goodness, would mean the end of light and the triumph of darkness.

In traditional myths, the beginning of Ragnarok is closely related to this.

The loss of light and goodness in the hearts of humanity and gods marks the onset of a turning point.

As he reflected on these thoughts, Syd suddenly wondered.

"If there's such a phenomenon at 50% awakening progress, what will happen at 100%?"

Syd wasn't sure what to expect.

After these thoughts, he began to study the effects of the light power, or rather, the new energy of light.
