"Alexander! Let go of me! See if I don't beat this woman to death today!"
"Rin! Don't pull me! Now that I've seen this nasty bastard, let me deal with him!"
With his head still in the living room, Alexander firmly held Gilgamesh in place to prevent any movement. Meanwhile, Rin restrained Ishtar directly. Both struggled to break free, shouting for Alexander and Rin to release them. But it was out of the question! Allowing these two to clash could result in the entire Fuyuki City being destroyed. How would Alexander explain such chaos to the locals? Gas leak? Gas explosion? Did they think everyone in Fuyuki City was gullible?
"Stop it!" With Alexander yelling, the two stopped their actions. Gilgamesh knew Alexander's identity, while Ishtar looked at Alexander in front of her with an expression of who is this guy?
"Who are you? How dare you meddle in our affairs!"
Ishtar stared at Alexander in front of her. Before Alexander could respond, Gilgamesh, standing beside him, wore a pleased smile. "Ishtar, you should get to know this guy well," Gilgamesh remarked, his tone teasing. "Because... you were created by him!"
"What! Gilgamesh! Even if you want to mock me, say something believable! You're saying he created me? Are you trying to tell me this man is actually Apsu?"
Tiamat, a goddess in ancient Babylonian mythology, was considered the mother goddess who birthed all gods and symbolized creation in primordial chaos. The name "Tiamat" means "bitter water" (saltwater), while her companion god Apsu means "sweet water" (freshwater). According to the "Enuma Elish," Apsu and Tiamat combined to birth a multitude of gods. Ishtar's incredulity stemmed from this mythology.
"I'm sorry to break it to you, but even they are created characters. Because, you, the proud goddess of Venus, Ishtar, are actually just a character in an anime!" Gilgamesh continued, but Ishtar was left completely stunned by his words. Her expression quickly shifted from slyness and arrogance to one of indifference.
"Gilgamesh! Don't you know this joke of yours is not funny at all? If you just wanted to piss me off with this bad lie, then congratulations, you did!"
At this moment, Ishtar's face darkened, and Gilgamesh's lips curled into a slight smile. He found Ishtar's expression satisfying; seeing this proud goddess brought low was amusing. But mere satisfaction wasn't enough. The true pleasure lay in shattering her beliefs, in witnessing her collapse into despair, disbelief, and utter devastation!
With an evil glint, Gilgamesh turned to Alexander. "O Creator, it seems I must use my ultimate move."
Observing Gilgamesh's demeanor, Alexander couldn't help but feel bemused by his enjoyment in unsettling Ishtar. Was it truly amusing for Gilgamesh to provoke Ishtar like this?
Gilgamesh then pulled out a small mobile phone and quickly searched for something. "I just downloaded the latest chapter of FGO last night. I haven't started reading it yet, so you're in luck."
As Gilgamesh watched the show, Ishtar reluctantly joined him. It was a disaster waiting to happen.
This sparked a chain reaction. Archer, Rin, Tokiomi, and even Kirei grabbed a small bench and eagerly joined in. They all seemed intrigued by what Gilgamesh was going to show. The room fell silent as they watched.
Gilgamesh chuckled. "Not bad, not bad. The artist did a commendable job. He captured my essence perfectly. But the ending... why should I die?"
Alexander chuckled, "Too bad for you, I like Artoria more."
Gilgamesh muttered to himself, "What's so good about Artoria? Is she more important to you than me?"
Tokiomi sighed as he looked at the virtuous king in the picture, "Sigh, look at the virtuous king who sacrificed herself for the protagonist. Then think about me, who was betrayed by my own trusted ally. If I had summoned a hero like her, things would have turned out differently."
On the other hand, Kirei was puzzled, "What kind of anime is this? Why haven't I heard of it? Who is this Alexander? Why has no one told me about this?"
It seemed Kirei would continue his bewildered character, much to Tokiomi's likely annoyance.
For Ishtar, she was left in an existential crisis, "Who am I? Where am I? What is my purpose? Is this a dream? I'm a goddess! How can I be depicted by someone in an anime!?"
