After securing the aid of the Clear Sky Clan with the Hundred Herb Pill recipe, Tang Xiao and the four Titled Douluo elders of the Clear Sky Clan successfully held off five of Spirit Hall's top Titled Douluo: Jiang Jun, Jiang Long, Demon Bear Douluo, Snake Lance Douluo, and Porcupinefish Douluo.
With the injured Ghost Leopard Douluo out of the fight, only Bibi Dong, Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan, Ghost Douluo Gui Mei, and Blazing Eagle Douluo remained to chase after Tang Hao, Tang San, and Yu Xiaogang.
"Do you think you can escape, Tang Hao?" Bibi Dong's cold voice echoed through the sky as she pursued the fleeing trio, her face a mask of icy determination.
With a sharp cry, Blazing Eagle Douluo activated her seventh spirit skill, transforming into a massive flaming eagle. With a flap of her fiery wings, she shot forward like a blazing comet, quickly closing the distance between herself and Yu Xiaogang.
"Father! Teacher! The Eagle Douluo is gaining on us!" Tang San cried, his Purple Demon Eyes spotting the incoming danger.
"We need to use the same method as before!" Tang San urged, his voice tense. "If we can just make it to the City of Slaughter, we'll be safe!"
"But… but I'm almost out of spirit power, and I've only got a few radishes left!" Yu Xiaogang replied, his voice filled with worry.
Saving his disciple had already taken its toll. His spirit power was running low, and the "fuel"—the radishes—was nearly depleted. Worse, he still remembered the earlier incident when the Blazing Eagle Douluo's flames had ignited his gas, nearly blowing him to pieces. One mistake, and he might not survive the next blast.
"Teacher, we have no choice!" Tang San said urgently. "If we don't try, we'll be caught!"
Hesitating for only a moment, Yu Xiaogang finally gritted his teeth. For the sake of his disciple's safety, and to prove his theories, he decided to continue playing the role of the "Jet Warrior," despite the searing pain in his body.
The three quickly repeated their previous formation—Tang San on Tang Hao's back, and Tang Hao gripping onto Yu Xiaogang. The familiar, if humiliating, configuration was back in action.
Yu Xiaogang summoned his spirit, transforming into the pig-headed figure once more. Swallowing a handful of radishes in one go, he activated his two spirit skills. His belly rapidly expanded as the twin hundred-year spirit rings around him glowed brightly.
"Boom!" A deafening blast followed as Yu Xiaogang unleashed a torrent of green, foul-smelling gas, mixed with unidentified bits and liquid, propelling the trio forward with incredible speed.
The disgusting gas spread through the air, forcing Blazing Eagle Douluo to swerve aside in revulsion. Furious, she yelled, "Third spirit skill, Sacred Fire!"
As flames erupted from her body, she attempted to purify the air of the toxic stench. But Yu Xiaogang had learned from his earlier mistakes. He now paused between each burst of gas, leaving enough time between releases to prevent Blazing Eagle Douluo from igniting the fumes and turning him into a walking bomb.
However, even with this tactic, it was clear that the relentless pursuit would soon catch up to them. Yu Xiaogang's spirit power and supply of radishes were nearly exhausted. Time was running out.
But just as the trio seemed to be nearing the end of their rope, a bolt of lightning streaked across the sky. Tang San's Purple Demon Eyes caught the flash, revealing an elderly figure flying toward them—a man with long white hair and a majestic silver-blue robe. It was none other than Yu Xiaogang's father, the Blue Lightning Douluo Yu Yuanzhen!
Earlier, the commotion caused by Spirit Hall's assault on the strength clan and their pursuit of Tang Hao had not gone unnoticed in Heaven Dou City. One of the concerned parties was Liu Erlong, who had been desperate for news of Yu Xiaogang's safety. Without hesitation, she returned to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and informed Yu Yuanzhen of the danger.
Although Yu Yuanzhen had always felt guilty toward his son, this time he couldn't stand by and do nothing. Seeing the chaos unfolding, he had rushed to intervene.
"So, it is near the Clear Sky Clan…" Yu Yuanzhen muttered as he spotted the trio. Despite the strange and humiliating pig-headed form his son had taken, Yu Yuanzhen's sharp eyes immediately recognized him. His heart tightened.
His son, Yu Xiaogang, had always been the source of his deepest regrets. It was his lineage that had cursed Xiaogang with an inferior spirit, and it was the ridicule from their clan that had driven his son away. Now, seeing him in such a pitiful state—wielding a devolved pig spirit—Yu Yuanzhen's heart ached.
Blaming himself for his son's misfortune, Yu Yuanzhen resolved to make amends. If his son had to endure the consequences of his failed spirit, then it was his duty as a father to step in and protect him, even if it was too late to change the past.
