Inside the livestream room...
After Ning Fengzhi successfully found a way to initiate a system update to address the current issues in the live stream room, particularly with the rewards distribution, many soul masters, nobles, and even some hundred-thousand-year soul beasts started to chime in their support.
In just a moment, the entire virtual screen was flooded with messages!
However, despite the overwhelming amount of messages, the reality was that fewer than a million soul masters and nobles had voiced their agreement with Ning Fengzhi. Most of the commoners, especially the poorest among them, were still hesitant to speak up in the livestream room.
But Ning Fengzhi didn't pay much attention to that. After all, the method to change the reward mechanism had already been found, and everyone now knew about it.
There was no need for him to take further action.
Soon enough, the royal families of the two empires, along with the ruling elites of various kingdoms and duchies, would begin to push the issue forward, advancing their interests. Eventually, even the commoners under their rule would start raising this concern in the livestream room.
...
After the flood of messages on the virtual screen finally subsided...
Inside the Star Luo Imperial City, within the First Prince's residence, Davis was consumed with frustration and anger. He couldn't hold back any longer and sent a message on the virtual screen, directly tagging Lin Yu.
[Davis (Frustrated): @Lin Yu, why? Why can that waste, Dai Mubai, who is weaker than me, somehow win in the future? I've worked so hard, relentlessly cultivating and building my influence. What right does that guy have to win? And how could he possibly deserve to become a god?]
In the livestream room, when Lin Yu saw that Davis had tagged him, venting his fury and demanding answers as to why Dai Mubai could eventually defeat him, Lin Yu wasn't the least bit surprised.
He could understand Davis's frustration perfectly.
From Lin Yu's perspective, Dai Mubai was nothing more than an undeserving lucky fool. Without that stroke of fortune, he would have never been able to surpass Davis!
In the original novel, there were many logical inconsistencies and absurdities, especially when it came to the protagonist, Tang San, and those around him.
Take Dai Mubai for instance!
Back in Suotuo City during the Shrek Academy days, Dai Mubai's cultivation level was thirty-seven, making him a Soul Elder.
According to the story, Dai Mubai was three years older than Tang San.
At that time, Tang San was twelve years old, meaning Dai Mubai should have been around fifteen.
But here's where the inconsistency lies.
In the novel, it's mentioned that after arriving in Suotuo City, Dai Mubai spent most of his time indulging in worldly pleasures, not bothering to train seriously.
He wasted at least three years in Suotuo City.
Logically, someone with the same level of talent as Dai Mubai should have had a higher cultivation level given his age—probably two or three levels higher at least.
But during the Shrek Seven Devils' battle against the Heaven Dou Imperial Team in the Great Spirit Arena, we get some conflicting information.
According to the dialogue between Dugu Bo and Tang San, Dugu Yan was seven years older than Tang San, and Yu Tianheng was presumably the same.
That means Yu Tianheng was four years older than Dai Mubai.
However, at that time, Yu Tianheng only had a cultivation level of thirty-nine.
If we add Dai Mubai's wasted three years along with Yu Tianheng's four-year age advantage, by all logic, Yu Tianheng should have been at least two or three levels higher than Dai Mubai.
But the novel has Yu Tianheng just two levels above Dai Mubai, which makes no sense!
To make matters worse, Dai Mubai leveled up by one rank thanks to Yu Xiaogang's training.
It's completely ridiculous!
Let's not forget that Yu Tianheng possessed the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Spirit, widely considered the strongest beast spirit in the Douluo Continent.
As the top genius of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, Yu Tianheng's innate spirit power should have been at least eight or nine levels, possibly even higher!
There's no way it could be lower than Dai Mubai's, and it might even have been higher.
Given that Yu Tianheng had three years of uninterrupted training compared to Dai Mubai's wasted time, plus his four-year age advantage, it's laughable that the gap between their cultivation levels was just one or two ranks.
In the novel, this was a bug.
But in the real world that Lin Yu was currently living in, this bug had to be corrected. The most plausible explanation was simple: Dai Mubai had lied about his age to join Shrek Academy, and the academy turned a blind eye for the sake of money.
If Lin Yu's theory was correct, then logically, Dai Mubai must have been even older than Yu Tianheng. He was likely around twenty years old!
Twenty years old and only at level thirty-seven.
Meanwhile, according to the novel, Davis was six years older than Dai Mubai, meaning he would have been twenty-one. However, in this real world, Davis's age might have been slightly adjusted as well, but he was likely still under twenty-five.
After all, the age limit for the All-Continent Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament was twenty-five.
Even if Davis was the maximum age of twenty-five and had a cultivation level of forty-nine, without the immortal herb Tang San gave Dai Mubai, there's no way Dai Mubai could have caught up.
Without that herb, Dai Mubai, who had a full ten-rank disadvantage in cultivation, would have been utterly crushed!
And honestly, Lin Yu would have been thrilled if Dai Mubai had died.
After all, Dai Mubai was a reckless, arrogant womanizer with zero sense of responsibility.
The idea that he would somehow break free from his fate and come out on top in life completely clashed with Lin Yu's worldview from his past life!
[Lin Yu (mocking): @Davis, believe me, I'm just as upset. But what can I say? Your dear younger brother was ridiculously lucky. He got cozy with our future Sea God, Tang San!]
[Our almighty Tang San managed to get his hands on an immortal herb and gave it to your little brother, which drastically boosted his talent. With Tang San's help, Dai Mubai caught up to you in cultivation. From that point, you were no match for him!]
Unbelievable! So, that's what happened! He cozied up to Tang San!
Upon reading Lin Yu's response, Davis felt a whirlwind of emotions—shock, and anger, but also a sense of relief.
It turns out that his foolish younger brother only managed to defeat him thanks to someone else's aid, not his strength.
Otherwise, Davis might have started to worry that Dai Mubai had been pretending all along, which would've been terrifying!
Still, if Dai Mubai only won because of Tang San, and now Tang San was facing his troubles, it seemed unlikely that the same future would play out.
Meanwhile, on the other side...
After reading Lin Yu's response, Dugu Bo was both stunned and furious.
What!? Tang San managed to get his hands on an immortal herb.
That "someone else" who provided the herb—could it have been Dugu Bo himself?
In an instant, Dugu Bo's fury surged.
He couldn't fathom that Tang San might have helped him by resolving the Jade Phosphor Clan's poison problem.
Instead, he believed that Tang San had accidentally discovered his medicine garden and recognized the immortal herbs growing there. Then, with the help of his father, the mighty Haotian Douluo, Tang San bullied him into surrendering the garden!
Curse them! That Haotian Douluo and his son are nothing but thieves!
